CorkScrewHill Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 (edited) The lions signed David Montgomery in free agency and just inexplicably drafted a back at number 9. Deandre Averaged 5.5 yds per carry this year and has a very low cap number for his final year of his rookie contract. Would like this more than getting DHoP as he would be a nice safety net if Cook cannot be the work horse. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/28/dandre-swifts-future-in-doubt-after-lions-draft-jahmyr-gibbs/ Edited April 28, 2023 by CorkScrewHill 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Yeah I am unsure why Detroit is stockpiling RBs in a way that would even make Beane blush especially since Swift was pretty good(but oft injured) and they just got Montgomery. 1 Quote
StHustle Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 As long as one of his names starts with a 'D' sign me up! Quote
GunnerBill Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Meh. He is only good because of his oline IMO. He has been a disappointment. If you look a the next gen stats he doesn't generate many of his own yards. I'd throw a conditional future 7th at it turning into a 6th if we make the Superbowl or he has 1,000 rush yards. Otherwise, pass. Quote

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Nah man, that's a no for me. Between Damien Harris and James Cook and Nyheim Hines I would like to see what we already have unless it looks like a generational talent. Quote
Rc2catch Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Swift has been made of glass. I expected he’d be available but remembering last year they do actually rotate 3 backs throughout the game. 1 Quote

As for Swift...this is a move that I think fits the Miami profile. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them go after him. Quote
Bangarang Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Injuries and the fact that he’s a RB make this a hard pass. Quote

Eh, Harris shouldn’t make you stop from improving the position. He is a one dimensional rb whose upside is limited. That said, Swift always gets hurt. Talented but doesn’t help if you miss games all the time. Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 For a 2025 4th and moving up in 7th round this year 1 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Got him for nothing. Should have been us Quote
K D Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 What the heck?? Why are people helping the Eagles? Do they feel bad for the NFC and they want them to have a chance? And Roseman is a "genius" because he just took all of the players from the back to back national champs. Wow how did he know to look there for great talent? Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Swift would make it a stockpile of good runningbacks,,, oh never mind. Eagles. obviously. Quote
