Beas was also extremely "qb friendly" when the line broke down and Josh had to go backyard football mode and make something happen.

The more I'm thinking about this pick the more I like it lol.

Not to derail from the topic too much, but if Bean goes psycho mode and grabs that burner from TN as a development wr? We could be set for LAD (life after diggs).

This is solidly a “glass half empty” take

I guess you can argue he's been underutilized, but not a whole lot.

17th in TE targets. 17th in TE receptions. Tied for 5th in TE TDs. 14th in TE yards.

All this for a guy whose brother died during the season. Is it really that surprising that they started him slow?

He had 27 targets in the first eight weeks, out of his total of 65. He had 20 catches out of 48 in his first eight games.

Folks, none of this makes any less than total sense.

Finn, "incompetent" is way way overstating it for Brown, who was recovering from back surgery, didn't have an offseason, and improved a lot as the season went along. But yeah, fair enough, he wasn't as good as we wanted and may well have needed more help sometimes than you'd want him to, and that may have affected the way they used Knox.

Yes, you're right. I was venting my frustration to a degree after seeing Brown so often miss his block. It seemed that Allen's routine was to go back, dodge Brown's missed block, dodge Saffold's blown assignment, and only then get ready to throw. Your assessment is more sober and accurate.

I mean, it’s all relative right whenever people talk about him not being a very good blocker they mean a very good blocker for a tight end. This guy will still totally maul a defensive back

and be great chipping ends off the line

and while he won’t heads up move a DE back in the run game regularly they aren’t going to collapse him regularly either

Initial reaction is...does Dorsey know how to use him?

The only thing I didn't like was that Beane panicked and gave away a 4th.

Did  you see the look in the Dallas war room? Beane knew Dallas would take him, he had to jump them if he wanted Kincaid

the comparison is about the SLOT position

kincaid can highpoint the ball much higher than beasley.......and also block better with a significant weight advantage

beasley needs to move along....he's embarrassing himself.....he's never playing for the bills again

Heard on GR this morning that the last TE drafted in the 1st round to make an impact for the team drafting him was Marcedes Lewis in 2006.

that is a concern of mine. and the second contracts to tight ends as they come of age are ludacris.

it's nice to have a featured tight end but teams are better off dumpster diving to potentially find someone

This doesn't sound like the record of a top 10 GM to me.

From 6-10 in 2018...to 10-6 in 2019...to 13-3 in 2020...to 11-6 in 2021...to 13-3 in 2022.

This GM has built a team that has been on the verge of a Super Bowl for several years. Taken the AFC East crown three seasons in a row. Buffalo has one of the very best QBs, WRs, and defenses in the NFL.

SI grades Brandon Beane as the very best GM in the league...think I'll side with their view on the subject!

Kincaid is a stud TE. Beane sprinted to the podium. This pick will be one of the all-time steals of any NFL draft. Kincaid was my dream but I thought no way - he is top 12 only because of the QB's that needed to be taken otherwise he's top 10. Best hand in the entire draft.

This is our #2 boys. Just wait and see.

But but but his point about Tyler Kroft.  You’re leaving that out.

Do every GM with your same negative attitude and see how they hold up. You might find 2 maybe 3 that has done better. But you dont want that perspective, you wouldnt be able to complain.
