I didn’t say he was a bust, I said he’s a Gesicki.

And you still contradict yourself when saying Kincaid is a Gesicki.

You said there's no way of knowing what a player might turn into and used Brady as an example, but then you said Kincaid would turn into a Gesicki before he evens plays a NFL down.

Make up your mind, is there a way to know what a player will turn into NOW before he plays in a NFL game or even after plays few NFL games? Pick one answer and stick to it, don't contradict yourself again and again.

Jimmy graham lined up wide more than he did at tight end. Maybe we use him like that?

Beane already said that's what they're doing with him.

He said think Cole Beasley-type in a different package. We need guys that can read a zone, get open, and catch the dang ball.

Didn’t see beanes comments. Glad him and I are on the same page

This much excitement about an iffy TE prospect?

Yeah, Gronk, Kelce and Ertz like he already is comparable to.

🤪

Iffy?

Kincaid isn’t Kelce, he’s Gesicki.

Kincaid is actually a much more complete receiver than Gesicki was coming out of the draft. Kuntz is actually the Gesicki comp - an athletic receiving tight end that doesn’t block and basically just runs seam and fade routes.

Kincaid is a player who can go up the seam sure but he also is great at the option routes that kill zone defenses underneath which is why the Kelce comparisons get thrown around (though he is not the athlete Kelce is). He is a pretty complete receiver which is why he is so highly regarded and he will still be a much better blocker than most receivers. He is the only tight end I would have been ok drafting this high because when I was doing my pre-draft review he did all those little things for Utah that Beasley did but with some ability to generate bigger plays up the field. To me the player isn’t in questions, it’s whether he is fully healthy which all reports are he is and whether the Bills give him enough volume.

Heard a lot of him being the Next Noah Fant, that ain’t saying much.

If, he were to beat out Dawson Knox, in the very near future as a starting TE, which wouldn’t take too much, then maybe he was worth the reach. I say Knox has no worries about fulfilling his contract here.

Long list of flop 1st rd. TE’s. I ain’t got time to list them but there’s plenty at this very limited position.

It’s possible. I don’t necessarily hate the Kincaid pick and want to put that out there. I just don’t see it helping much unless we have a plan at WR2. If we can’t land Hopkins, then the Kincaid pick seems a little strange.
We already have Shakir primed for the slot.

I would have been happier with a trade down into the 2nd round. Grabbing Avila and then grabbing Hyatt with a packaged up move.
Avila/Hyatt  >  Kincaid/ Dawand Jones

I likely would have traded down and target Avila and Sanders in the 2nd. Assuming we traded for Hopkins, who I want more than Hyatt.

Traded down with who?  There weren’t any trade downs after ours.  Worst GM ever

IMB is on a jihad. I don't think there is talking sense into him on this.

But for real between Gesicki and Ertz comparisons (not to mention some "poor man's Kelce) ones I've been hearing, if we get 75% in his rookie year that makes him the second best pass catcher on this roster

Ask Beane, he said if Kincaid wasn’t there he would have traded down. Who would he have traded down with?

I get it now...love the pick for personal reasons!

Me too. I have an autistic kid so that made me smile.

I NEVER want to draft a good guy who is not a good player but Dalton really seems like both.

Get a grip. The guy is a big tall slot weapon with the best hands in the draft.  He’s a slot guy with the opposite body type of Beasley. He will contribute immediately.

Huh, I was commenting on the poster who said all Dawson Knox does is block. That was my correction, that Dawson Knox is not primarily a blocker in this offense.

What would you like me to get a grip on?

Beane said he is going to play the F. It's like the off ball move tight end that we see so much now. He could be the wing outside the Y, he could be in the backfield. He could be flexed out on the line. He could be in the slot. I love it.

You obviously didn't listen to Beane talk about the pick.  I suggest you do.

Kincaid and Knox aren't going to be in competition for the traditional TE spot because that's not the role Kincaid is going to play in the offense.

Daniel Jeremiah’s No. 9 overall player in draft
Ahead of Buffalo’s pick being announced, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah gave the league a warning.

“If this league allows Dalton Kincaid to go play with Josh Allen it’s probably going to get what it deserves.”

https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2023/04/who-is-dalton-kincaid-buffalo-bills-got-a-guy-in-the-travis-kelce-mold-5-things-to-know.html

After years of reaching for a top pick, it finally looks like we got a steal. I'm so stoked.

For all the people saying we don't need this and Josh needs a deep threat, remember how well Josh played with a still-good Beasley. This will help Josh make fewer WTF hero ball plays and move the chains more and be a terror to opposing Ds n the red zone.
