May Day 10 Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 (edited) The Jerry Springer show was great in the period of time where it went from topics of interest and was transitioning into the absurd. I'd say about 1997? It was still kind of trying to be real and grounded. Fights were real. After a year or so, the show just turned into a caricature of itself and was unwatchable. Maury took over as the most compelling guilty pleasure daytime television talk show. Edited April 27, 2023 by May Day 10 Quote

Just Jack Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 He did some work for MTV on their Spring Break specials. I remember seeing an interview with the three people in this segment that they made everything up to get on the show... Quote
Gugny Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 All his show did was glorify the armpits of society. I don’t think that was a great contribution. 1 1 Quote

Sure you don't... Because you're not an egalitarian. The upper classes are just as brutal. One of the best comments in a YouTube video: "America is one big Jerry Springer show!" "I thought this show was staged until my life turned into an episode." 😆... 2 Quote

People are laughing, but Jerry Springer was actually the mayor of Cincinnati. Another interesting fact about him is that he was born in London during WW2 to Holocaust survivors. Quote
