I too am a fan of that movie. Not very realistic they way the draft plays out, but fun anyway.

It’s supposed to be a commercial for the draft and it’s supposed to be sort of cheesy..but it’s actually pretty good.  I like it.

Honestly. I would have put it in right now. But I just noticed Tango and Cash is on and I haven’t seen this glorious movie in like like 20 years and I’m kinda into it.

A Draft night eve tradition.  Watching it now. 

 

It's not the best or most realistic movie, but being a Draft junkie, it's always a little tougher to rest the night before the Draft.  So, this is the movie that goes on every Wednesday night before the Draft to set the mood.  I enjoy it.

Hey Buffalo gets a little love in the movie, instant classic! Fun fact, Costner was supposed to be the GM of the Bills but production costs were cheaper in Cleveland so they changed it.

Actually I think the Bills were supposed to be the team but they didn’t want to be used as the main story because they thought it might make them look bad. Idk.

I’m sorry, but how hard is it to get a trade chart value correct?   The trades were so stupid and unrealistic.  It ruined the whole movie for me.

As a clumsily disguised piece of NFL propaganda it’s second to none.

 

Any Given Sunday is a far, far superior movie about pro football.

The point of the movie was that Costner was ignoring the trade value chart and "going rogue".
