B-Man Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Oh, So That's Who Decided Joe Biden Would Run for Re-Election Townhall, by Spencer Brown There's been much speculation and even more joking about how President Joe Biden seemingly relies on handlers to get him through the rigors of carrying the "leader of the free world" mantle, but new reporting on Monday makes it clear that First Lady Jill Biden is one of the main players when it comes to managing and guiding major strategic decisions that, in the end, are attributed to the president. Specifically, Politico's latest dispatch on First Family intrigue deals with Biden's prerecorded video announcement last week that the commander in chief would run for re-election in 2024, a decision that came after more than a little speculation https://townhall.com/tipsheet/spencerbrown/2023/05/01/jill-biden-not-joe-is-who-decided-to-run-for-re-election-n2622661 .

Expand Quote "Privately, the first lady encouraged her husband to run again while giving him the space he needed to process the decision in the way he traditionally does: with extensive deliberations, consideration of the burden it would place on his family, and a bit of classic Biden hemming and hawing," Expand Translation for people not married: She told hIm he has to run so he had to or else he would be punished. You can be right or you can be happy, but you can't be both. She might as well decide, she's the one that's gonna be campaigning. We've seen it already with Jill at the Super Bowl and Women Final Four and the Academy Awards all without Joe. I suspect we'll see a lot of this. If President Biden wins another term we'll have a Woodrow Wilson situation on our hands before much longer. And I seriously doubt Democrats will pull a 25th amendment on him no matter how bad it gets. Edited May 2, 2023 by reddogblitz 1
