well I watched the Canes literally outskate outhustle and outscore the Lindy Ruff led Devils last night. Pulling Schmid was a way to hopefully change momentum but in my novice opinion it was his defense that allowed the Canes to have those scoring chances more  so ...not His entire fault.

Carolina smacked em in the mouth and beat them handily. I really hope the series ends up being competitive. Upon reflection I am torn by wanting Lindy Ruff to have won a championship vs my buddy the diehard Canes fan wanting one too

I hope one of those teams goes all the way.

PS: I missed out on that entire Jack Eichel debacle Thank goodness. He is clearly persona non grata in BFLO.

Canes already have one with the help of an unprecedented rash of D injuries to the Sabres, then getting to play the friggin Oilers for the Cup

Jeff Jillson anyone?

Lindy doesn't have one and deserves it.

F the Canes!

The NHL Draft Lottery is tonight!

We possess the 13th-best odds to win the first lottery draw at 2.0 percent. We can jump a maximum of 10 spots - meaning we could win the No. 3 overall pick with the lottery win.

FYI this was on my feed from Sabres.com

As far as hockey goes I am a SABRES fan  now.  As long as baaston and hopefully toronto go down in embarrasment and flames then I'll be happy 🙂

I'm hoping for a Devils /Oilers match up with the Devils and Lindy hoisting the Cup.

I'm not surprised. For fans who have followed the Sabres closely and for many years  they see familiar names on other peoples rosters as well as coaches. . I remember Lindy Ruff when he was Blond lol. I could never root against him at all 🙂

Devastating news for the Avalanche.

Colorado Avalanche on Twitter: "Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will undergo a cartilage transplant in his right knee on May 10. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Brian Cole at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. The 30-year-old forward is expected to miss the entire 2023-24 season. https://t.co/bM466EpL3G" / Twitter

The Leafs got really lucky yesterday on the 1st goal where the puck deflects of the ref's knee and goes right in front of the net for a tap in goal. I hope the Cats close them out in game 5 but if not, they better do it in game 6. If this goes 7 then they are in trouble.
