unrealistic but…

Ed Oliver and Damar Hamlin for Baker

New Defensive Scheme. Rapp subs in for many different players.

Baker and Poyer could really move around based on matchups

What’s his cap situation?

Nothing that we can handle. $13.1M this year and $14.2M next year so you can forget about this pipe dream.

Just a couple seasons ago, there were people saying how dangerous the Cardinals were becoming.

Now players want to abandon ship.

It's the reason continued success from a team is not to be taken for granted

Look at the Houston Texans.  In 2019, they beat us in a playoff game.  Made our #2 overall defense fold like a cheap lawn chair to squander a 16-0 lead in the 3rd Q, and shut down our offense.  They were even beating the Chiefs, in Kansas City, 24-0 in the second Q.

Next year they went 4-12 despite Watson playing out of his mind, passing for 4823 yds with 33 TD and 7 INTs.

And they haven't had more than 4 wins since.

That's how fast it can all fall apart.

I don’t necessarily want the Bills to trade for him, but if anyone didn’t watch the Cardinals on Hard Knocks this season, Budda was the heart and soul of that team.

Anyone saying “not a process guy” or “not a character guy” knows nothing about him.

On a related note, the Cardinals might be a dumpster fire the next 5-10 years with all of the terrible signing and drafting they’ve done.

Baker is one of the most underrated defensive players in the league. Any chance Bills can void Poyer’s new deal?

he’s not underrated by anyone that pays attention chief.

He signed the richest safety contract ever at the time so it's hard to argue he's underrated.  I'm just hoping if he is traded it's to an NFC team.  Poyer is one season removed from a first team all pro and he only carries a cap hit of 4.85 million.  About 1/3rd of what it would cost for Baker.

They still are dangerous.  They've gone to pieces so fast, people get hit by the shrapnel.

(Thanks, and a tip of the hat to Douglas Adams.)

It just goes to show you how fast everything can crumble, happens all the time in sports

Yes, because the pittance that we’re paying poyer would totally cover Buddha salary
