Post a few of your favorite players that you want the Bills to draft

Feel free to add why you want that specific player

Mine:  (I'll start with 1 and add to the list later)

TE Darnell Washington

The first highlight I saw of this beast, he was hurdling defenders and that reminded me of Josh.
I think he brings a lot of value immediately to this offense.  He can be used as an extra OT. He can maul defenders.
His size makes him a matchup nightmare.  6'7 and 265. He's fast for his size and bulldozes through tackles.
He has 11 inch hands and his catch radius is insane. He will help Allen.
Instant Red Zone target. Toss it up. High Points the ball
I watched interviews of him and in his own words, he views himself as humble.

Only 21. Untapped potential.  Massive lean muscular frame.

5 Star recruit out of high school as the 10th overall player in the country. Was considered the No.1 athlete in the class.

Because he chose Georgia over some other schools that really needed a TE, he hasn't yet been utilized to dominate games

Jack Campbell

I like this. Campbell of course,  he's my "Draft Crush" as some would say.

Mauch, you can play him anywhere on the OL and will play until he passes out. Not many as versatile as he is. Would be a very good choice given what we currently have on the roster.👍

I really like Gervon Dexter, DT out of florida. He’s big and can get into the backfield. The last time the Bills drafted a guy I really wanted though it was Nick O’ Leary so Beane should probably not consult me.

Jalin Hyatt

I see a few great route runners with quickness that are ranked higher, but none of them pop of the tape when it comes to speed. If they get open, they don't keep separating. I have watched the 'top 10' WR prospects multiple times these last couple weeks, and the only one that pops off the screen of having absolutely elite speed to separate easily (and against great/fast competition) is Hyatt. If we are looking for a compliment to Diggs, and someone to fit perfect with Josh's homerun aggression, I feel he is the only option in this draft. The other WRs are quick route runners, or jump ball catchers... but I think we need that true deep threat specialist.

Hyatt also tracks the deep ball great, and has really good coordination and YAC ability. He would also be our reverse and fly sweep WR.

I haven't see too may of these guys play, but I did see Hyatt play a couple of times and he was an explosive game-changer.  So consider me a big fan.  I've also seen Mazi Smith play a bunch.  He'd be a great asset and could tie up offensive linemen, allowing our TBA middle linebacker to roam more freely, but I don't think DL is our biggest need (we have DaQuan and others) and I don't think Mazi will be around by the time our 2nd pick comes along.  I would like to see the following positions taken:

MLB, WR, interior OL, S, although with the signings of two mid-tier veteran FA guards and one middle-tier FA Safety (actually 2, if you factor in Poyer), those needs are not as great.  I also like a backup QB and a RB in the later rounds/UDFA.

BIJON

people laughed at me when I was pounding the table for Breese last draft.  Breece would be the best RB on our roster last year and this season.  Bijon is twice the player Breece is IMO and one of top 5 players in this draft IMO.

Opposing D’s worry themselves over Josh.  Josh has damn bear broken Belichick.  Josh and Bijon in same backfield- that’s better than Mahomes and Kelce.

F conventional wisdom rhetoric- don’t over draft RB, don’t pay RB, draft CB, DE, WR yada yada-

we need touchdown makers!  Playmakers!  Players that opposing Ds must game plan against- freeing Josh, freeing Diggs

I am not opposed to packaging next years number 1 and trading into low teens and drafting Bijon.

we need playmakers!  Who has bigger upside than Bijon?

McDermott and Beane to a degree are on the hot seat.  They must get over that hump asap and win Buffalo a Super Bowl.  They can’t keep losing in playoffs.  And AFC east is getting scarier.  Don’t die with any bullets.  Win now baby.  Make it happen Beane

Here is my way-too-long response…

We need to come out of the 2nd round with 2 of these guys IMO (i personally feel we ought to be trading back if possible):

Steve Avila: probably the most versatile G/C in the draft. He can slot in the middle seamlessly and if this is the last year with Morse he can take over under center for the next decade. His ability to Swiss Army knife into the line makes him super appealing and fits the Beane mold he values in OL flexibility. Run to the podium if he somehow makes it to 59.

Jack Campbell: I have Simpson graded higher, but Campbell checks a lot of the right boxes and can tackle well. There is the Keuchly connection too, so there’s that. Sanders is fine too but I worry about his tackling.

John Micheal Schmitz: Best Center in the draft, but that’s going to be his one and only spot. If we get him somehow he might kick to guard for a year at most while we have Morse, but he is at his best in the middle of that line and is absolutely a McDermott kind of guy.

Cody Mauch: I like him enough to take him at 59, but not any higher at all. Kick him inside and he will be great, but I’m not sold on him as a tackle. He has all the tools to be successful in the league though

Keeanu Benton: Big hulking DT (who is also a wrestler, so McDermott already sold on him) who stuffs the run and is a force to be reckoned with. Admittedly not the best at getting after the QB, but in the 2nd he’s an excellent pick.

**3rd Round - one or two depending on trade back

AT Perry: A bigger possession WR who can line up in any spot on the field and be effective. I think he struggles with contact a little bit and separation isn’t where I’d like it to be, but he can contribute day 1. I see him starting as 3/4 on the depth chart and moving up from there. Expecting more of him so early isn’t realistic but I think he gets there after a year or two.

Jonathan Mingo: Tall RAC machine. I feel like a lot of the bigger names are going to be gone in those first 2 rounds, and I don’t think we should go too far out of our way for a quality WR if we can avoid it. Mingo in the 3rd is going to prove to be well worth the slight reach - I have an early 4th round grade on him, but he’s not lasting to the end of the round IMO. This might be a little reach, but not an overreach if you get my meaning.

Sydney Brown: He’s one of my favorite Safety options in the draft, and a 3 down player. Versatile as heck, and was a 5 year starter in college. He’s going to be good, and sitting behind Po and Hyde is going to help him get that much better. Now, that said, is he needed *now* to win *now* is the question. We have our Safeties, we have a possible returning Hamlin and Benford could make the move to Saftey as well. If we go BPA and he is in there, he’s the pick. I could see him go in the 2nd if the stars align possibly (though unlikely)

Sam LaPorta: TE with good hands, routes and Measurables. He’s going to be damn good in my eyes, but I think he goes a little before before 91. While he blocks, sometimes he doesn’t block for long, so that’s the knock I have on him. Depending how the other picks

Tre’Vius Hodges Tomlinson: 3rd/borderline 4th rounder. He overcommits sometimes but I think that is coachable. He’s met with the Bills and I think the interest is real, but you can’t coach size and at 5’9” he’s going to have challenges. I’m fine with him at 91, but could see him fall as low as 130. If he somehow makes it to 130 I don’t see how you could possibly pass him up.

*Fourth or Later*

Zack Kuntz: Monster TE, athletic as all hell, and has a massive catch radius. Get him blocking a little lower and he’d be a 3rd rounder. Could see him 4th or 5th round. Pick 130 sounds fair, but I could see someone reach for him earlier than that. That someone could even be us given his athleticism.

Luke Schoonmaker: Another TE, another 4th or 5th round pick. TE is deep in this draft, and I think he’s a good TE2. I think Kuntz is the more intriguing prospect but for a 5th rounder he’s going to live up to or exceed his draft expectations.

Andrew Voorhis: he’s not contributing this year with his combine injury, but I really like him and think he’s going to be good in this league. Obviously if we are picking for need he would be lower on the priority list, but he’s very interesting to consider at 137.

Mohammad Ibrahim: This guy is going to be Motor 2.0 - get him with pick 205 and let him do his thing. Low risk high reward. I don’t like any RB not named Robinson before the 5th round.

Honestly in this group,  nobody that they pick will make me super happy.  I hope that I will just understand why they pick who they do and that they can get one decent starter (does not even have to start as a rookie) and a couple of good backup contributors.

For me, there are 2 guys I want. And the BOTH come from Florida.

1. O'Cyrus Torrance OG. I know he doesn't fit the mold of a Beane OL pick. That's entirely the point. We need someone that brings a little something different to this line. We have enough of the high RAS score, uber potential linemen on the roster. McD said he wanted an edge to this team. Torrance is that guy. A road grading run blocker who never gave up a sack in his college career? SIGN ME UP for that! Kromer has coached these types of guards before...including Incognito and Saffold. He can definatly be worked in.

2. Gervon Dexter DT. Another Florida product that would bring some surge to the middle of the defense...much like Jordan Phillips in his first go around with the Bills.

These 2 guys would bring some nasty to our lines...which is something I would love to see, If we get one of them I would be happy. (I've already come to terms with the likelyhood of a WR in the first or second, so not likely we take both).

Yay!  Another "who should the bills draft?" post.

Certainly not me. I’ve got a bad attitude. That was the deal killer there. So close…..  🤷‍♂️

Smith-Njigba

Going to be a star.

Him and Diggs on the same field with Josh Allen throwing to them?

Good luck.
