Yobogoya! Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can never have too many running backs that you won't use, I always say. 😅 17 3 4 Quote
wppete Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I like it especial on a vet minimum. He’s a big hard running back. 3 1 Quote

Motorin' Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Well, I apologize for calling him 80 years old in my mock draft. 2 Quote
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Seems like a lock for 600 yards and 5 TDs when you look at his stats. Good catch rate, 10 fumbles across 1700 touches, and is a big strong dude. I'd assume this is competition for Harris? Or they may carry 4 and just have 3 active depending on game type and injuries. 1 Quote
Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I feel like this is just part of some Beane smokescreen to make it seem like we're still interested in adding a rb and might draft Bijan Robinson. He keeps saying that Edmunds' replacement is on the roster and we haven't signed anyone new at LB, so that screams that we'll take a linebacker in the 1st or 2nd. 6 Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I mean, we do need someone for that Matt Breida/TJ Yeldon break glass in case of emergency role. McDermott has only ever dressed 3 RB's on Game Day, 1 of which was a Special Teamer. James Cook, Damien Harris, and Nyheim Hines will all dress (and Hines will provide more on offense than Taiwan Jones and Senorise Perry offered). So we do need a 4th guy on the roster who won't dress unless there's an injury. That said, I expected and prefer a 5th or 6th Rounder instead. Someone you could strike Gold on. 3 2 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Rather just have the 4th RB be a 6th/7th rounder with potential. 1 3 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 142 yards with Rypien starting. Not bad Great vet who can still ball to have around on maybe the practice squad in case someone gets hurt. 2 1 Quote

Put him on the PSZ. What is it with this new RB obsession? Why can't McBeane get so unhealthilly interested in OLinemen? Edited April 12, 2023 by Fan in Chicago 3 3 2 3 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 This can only be because they're not sure of Harris' availability. I hope Harris stays healthy for most of the year as I like him a lot. Quote
Success Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) My 1st reaction was definitely "huh?" But, as much as I think Harris can be a short yardage back, that's not necessarily his specialty. To have someone for the goal-line and 3rd & 1 (and 4th & 1) would round out that unit well. The Bills are determined to build a real running game. I can't really object to that. Cincy was more physical than the Bills were - there are a few aspects to that, but getting a more physical & reliable run game makes things a lot more equal on that front.
