HereComesTheReignAgain Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 I bet Oliver would be a little more motivated during pass rushing drills... 4 Quote

Lieutenant Aldo Raine Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 How long before @C.Biscuit97 chimes in and claims Cam Newton is better than 99% of all current back-up QBs and could push Josh as the starter! 1 Quote
Mister Defense Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 I think this could work out very well if Newton did it on a volunteer basis only. Or, no more than $100 per start. These would be fair compensation for someone with Newton's talent and ability. Quote
HOUSE Posted April 6, 2023 Author Posted April 6, 2023 I did notice Cam said nothing about money, nothing Quote
HOUSE Posted April 6, 2023 Author Posted April 6, 2023 Watching the tweet is hilarious, I am hooked Quote
ColoradoBills Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Um....no. I have a bit of faith the Kyle Allen can be coached up to become a long term backup for Josh and the Bills. Quote
DCofNC Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 You guy are insane. He’s a former league MVP and at very least can keep you remotely competitive in a game if he has to come in. To think he’s not a MASSIVE upgrade over Kyle Allen is a joke. He’s a big personality, not saying he wouldn’t be a problem at some point, but pure talent, HELL Yes to him. I like Kyle Allen, he’s flashed enough to have a job in the NFL, but I’d rather never see him on the field for the Bills. Hopefully JA stays healthy all year, but I’d feel way better about Newton, than KA and it’s not close. 1 2 1 Quote
Beast Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 No. I’d rather have Nathan Peterman and I’m not even kidding. 1 Quote

No team wanted him last year and no team will sign him this year. 1 1 Quote
Nextmanup Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 No thanks, Cam. Here are some of my favorites: 1 Quote

Another example of Twitter suicide, should have said I am willing to be signed to a practice squad then compete for a backup role But no, couldn't do that... Quote

His agent needs to sit him down and have a long chat about reality .. .. Totally disagree. When considering employment people are free to set whatever conditions they deem appropriate. In Cam Newton’s case there isn’t even an argument to be made as to why he shouldn’t set whatever conditions he wants. He has made $133.5M from his football contracts - plus whatever he made from advertising, etc. A last, near league minimum contract isn’t something he needs financially, so why should he go to a team/coach/situation where he will be unhappy? 1 Quote

The Bills don't need an old broken down QB in camp. What good would that be? In 2023, Kyle Allen is a better QB than Cam Newton. Quote

Becuase he didnt play last year and the prior two seasons we saw throws like this. I'm not sure high on Kyle Allen, but Newton is not a good option either 1 Quote
Fleezoid Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) Why did he pick certain players he's willing to back-up. It's a back-up position. You're on the bench or sidelines. I don't get it. The more I think of it, It's actually a little creepy. Edited April 6, 2023 by Fleezoid 1 Quote
