Or this list:

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/capitalist-countries

Singapore (Freedom score: 89.7)

New Zealand (83.9)

Australia (82.4)

Switzerland (81.9)

Ireland (81.4)

Taiwan (78.6)

United Kingdom (78.4)

Estonia (78.2)

Canada (77.9)

Denmark (77.8)

I think if that many on the right would agree with you and say the same thing about politicians on the right (including Trump) if it were Biden getting indicted.  It's easy to make your statement when yours isn't the only one getting indicted. Personally, I think it's fully politically motivated, but I am ok if it takes Trump off of the chess board.

Why so much disparity between the cited rankings...hmmm

great.  Now do a survey with less arbitrary conditions that isn't a conservative , libertarian think tank:

"The Fraser Institute is a libertarian-conservative Canadian public policy think tank and registered charity. The institute describes itself as independent and non-partisan. It is headquartered in Vancouver, with additional offices in Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. Wikipedia"

subjective criteria to name a few:

Government consumption B. Transfers and subsidies
C. Government investment

2. Legal System and Property Rights1

A. Judicial independence
B. Impartial courts
C. Protection of property rights
D. Military interference in rule of law and politics

3. Sound Money

A. Money growth
B. Standard deviation of inflation

4. Freedom to Trade Internationally

A. Tariffs
(i) Revenue from trade taxes (% of trade sector)

(ii) Mean tariff rate
(iii) Standard deviation of tariff rates

B. Regulatory trade barriers (i) Non-tariff trade barriers

(ii) Compliance costs of importing and exporting

5. Regulation

A. Credit market regulations (i) Ownership of banks (ii) Private sector credit

(iii) Interest rate controls / negative real interest rates

B. Labor market regulations
(i) Hiring regulations and minimum wage

(ii) Hiring and firing regulations
(iii) Centralized collective bargaining (iv) Hours regulations

D. Top marginal tax rate
(i) Top marginal income tax rate

(ii) Top marginal income and payroll tax rate

Still, being 6th in the world is a pretty high rating for a country that isn't capitalistic even under this flawed rating system

Lol, you must have missed this one:

The US isn't even on this list.

"Is America capitalist?

Yes, but not completely. The United States is actually referred to as a mixed market economy, meaning that it blends characteristics of both capitalism and socialism.

In the United States, the means of production (such as manufacturers or importers) are privately owned and operated for profit. This is a clearly capitalist approach. However, because the economy has regulations, taxation, and some subsidization, the United States is not a purely capitalist society. The government has at least partial control over education, roads, health care, and postal deliveries. It also provides subsidies to sectors including oil companies, financial companies, and agricultural producers. Additionally, private businesses must register with government agencies, and certain types of companies need government-approved licenses."

from your cited article (which cites the Heritage Organization as its source):

Does absolute capitalism exist?

In theory, yes. In practice, no country in the world has ever achieved a 100% capitalist, "laissez-faire," or free-market economy. All capitalist economies are mixed to one degree or another. The following are some high-profile examples.

Is America capitalist?

Yes, but not completely. The United States is actually referred to as a mixed market economy, meaning that it blends characteristics of both capitalism and socialism.

It's ok to cite biased sources, just be ready to defend them.

not throwing a fit.  illuminating your use of biased sources.  there's a difference.   You seem to believe you've proven beyond doubt that US is less than top 5 as a capitalist country.  You haven't.  Not even close. Enjoy your evening too

Today Nancy Pelosi showing a complete lack of respect for how the justice system works and the rights of the accused said it best, "Donald Trump Has A 'Right To Prove His Innocence".  So apparently a senior member of the Democratic leadership in Congress believes we are no longer operating under the Constitutional protections of innocent until proven guilty where the State is required to prove guilt and not the accused who must prove their innocence?  Sure sounds like that's the thinking.

Oh, she gets it and is well aware Trump will bring that tweet up at his campaign rallies.  Biden vs. Trump part 2.
