Billz4ever Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Thought he'd be a good fit for us. $7M. Wonder if he gave Seattle a home team discount. 2 1 1 1 Quote
Process Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Oof that would have been a real nice get for us at that price. Would have allowed us to kick the can down the road another year. MLB in the first two rounds is pretty much guaranteed now. No FAs left. 4 Quote
Success Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 This morning? He was an aging player who still had a lot in the tank, and would have been great for the Bills. Now? Old man. So glad he's going to another team. We need to get younger. 7 2 1 Quote

K D Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Loser. Anyone who has a chance to play for a super bowl and goes back to a non-contending team isn't anyone we want on this team anyhow 3 3 1 6 1 Quote

Seattle front office likely said 'We will let other teams determine value. Go get wined and dined with free hotel & air fare other teams and then we will make counter offer." Quote

Doesn't hurt that Washington state lacks an income tax, either. 2 Quote
HappyDays Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 That was our last option to find a capable MLB in free agency. At this point Edmunds' replacement is almost certainly coming in the draft, likely with a day one or two pick. 3 Quote
Chaos Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Well, we still have Ed Oliver on the Dline. 3 Quote

Eh, I recall Joe Marino (host of LockedOn Bill) being in on Wagner and then watching some tape on him and being less than impressed…not saying Wagner is old or washed up, but he doesn’t have much left. Considering he went unsigned for this long and signed for that amount, I think a lot of GM’s saw the same thing from the tape. Edited March 26, 2023 by atlbillsfan1975 4 Quote

It will not surprise me at all to hear Jack Campbell in the first for us. 2 Quote

I really just think he wanted to end his career back in Seattle. 2 2 Quote
Paul Costa Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I remember Beane say post Tremaine signing with Bears that maybe his replacement is already on the roster. Don’t kill the messenger, that was said. 1 1 2 Quote
