I am assuming that this is a NYS rule because in Florida the defense has the right to question witnesses in a grand jury situation, though they mostly do not.

Even before the def is indicted?  Isn't that like allowing false starts?  The play hasn't started yet.  I could be off base though.

Where are our resident lawyers?  Heeelp.

As stated it is a rare occurrence but if the main witness is getting time off their conviction and has previously said the exact opposite, then yes it should be allowed to happen. If the grand jury does not push forward with the case I will be surprised because of how low the threshold is but if this whole can be toppled by a few simple questions than it should not go forward.

I'll take no one for 1000-1.  Meaning conviction, not just indictment.

A losing bet.

I have no doubt they'll find a way to eventually indict him and burn down the last shred of credibility for our "justice system" in the process.

Good to see you understand he's going down.

Don't worry. You'll get more chances to take up arms against America.

Both of us know that Graham will turn on him when he feels it advantageous. Wonder if Trump will out him when he does. Come on. We all know he will.

No GJ today.  Bragg's not going to indict?

Even you don't believe that's possible. And it's only the opening act in the play.

And never so much as a peep, let alone a retraction.

Just move on to the next fake gotcha narrative.

What's not possible?  Bragg realizing what an idiot he is and refusing to indict Trump and give him the spectacle he wants while pursuing a trumped-up case that has no chance of winning?  Like I said, I won't bet on people not being stupid (indicting him) but again I'll take the bet on not being convicted.

Still time to make a bet (from CNN)

The Manhattan grand jury investigating Trump’s alleged role in a scheme to pay hush money to an adult film star will not hear that case when it convenes today, according to two sources familiar with the matter, pushing the Manhattan’s district attorney’s probe into next week.

After today, the Manhattan grand jury will next convene on Monday, when it is possible they could hear additional testimony from a witness.

The district attorney’s office declined to comment.

Grand juries typically hear multiple cases at a time.

At 1000-1?  You sure you want to do that?

1000-1?

Do you understand that you're saying that it's a 1 in 1000 chance that he won't be convicted?

That you're certain he'll be convicted?

I assumed when you offered me the chance to bet that you'd punk out. You've shown the other Trump fanboys that you don't believe he'll beat charges.

Was hoping to make a couple bucks and embarrass you, but at least you've embarrassed yourself.

I said "no one"...will get him and offered you 1000-1 odds, meaning you put up $1000 and I'll put up $1.  We can even make it $100 to $1.

So if I understand this story correctly…it’s illegal for Trump to pay someone not to lie to the American people prior to an election but it’s perfectly legal for Biden to lie for free? Wonderful!

How many times CNN sold you all the same BS. but this time, its factual. not just CNN creating stories, AGAIN.

trump said he'd be arrested Tuesday

check Receipts. Way back when trump was the first to spotlight this, I said he wants it.  gives him that Marter PR that matches his script.

Mr Bragg lacks the foresight to grasp the big picture.

Me think someone explained to mr Bragg that a trial, with another NON conviction only helps trump.
