The banks have ever Ivy League school employee working for them. They didn’t have to accept his appraisals. They can say no but they wanted his business. He didn’t default on the loan. The bank did their own appraisal and accepted his as well. To me that makes them liable to the fraud as well. Why aren’t they being charged? 1

I mean put a bunch of liberated homosexuals, and non patriarchal feminists on island 1 and the bunch of religious conservatives and pro lifers on an island 2. Which new civilization are you expecting last longer? You addressed only culture issues. The core of Conservatism has always been small government and less spending. Trump turned that upside down and the Republicans followed him. Is that not true? Who in Congress still believes in those things? 1

The judge also rebuked Trump for lying about the size of his Manhattan apartment. Trump claimed his three-story Trump Tower penthouse was nearly three times its actual size, valuing it at $327 million. “A discrepancy of this order of magnitude, by a real estate developer sizing up his own living space of decades, can only be considered fraud,” Engoron wrote. On X in the wake of the ruling, Eric Trump insisted his father’s claims about Mar-a-Lago were correct, writing that the Palm Beach estate is “speculated to be worth well over a billion dollars making it arguably the most valuable residential property in the country.” He called the ruling and the lawsuit “an attempt to destroy my father and kick him out of New York.” Under the ruling, limited liability companies that control some of Trump’s key properties, such as 40 Wall Street, will be dissolved and authority over how to run them handed over to a receiver. Trump would lose his authority over whom to hire or fire, whom to rent office space to, and other key decisions. They should hire Arnold. 23 hours ago, Chris farley said: No jury, no due process just a very partisan judge coupled with a partisan DA. Joe Ferguson forever Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 This speech to NONUNION members last night was telling. Seems pretty cynical and uninspiring. "This strike isn't important cuz you're all going to be out of work from EV's" isn't what they want to hear. Or what factory workers in general want to hear. He may be correct but eliminating an EV law won't solve their problem. They'll just be made elsewhere in foreign plants if he does that. Is he going to outlaw buying EV's? Good stuff starts at 43 min. watch his body language.... https://www.c-span.org/video/?530700-1/president-trump-holds-rally-detroit 1

And many litigants chose a trial before a judge ("bench trial") instead of before a jury. Particularly with this type of thing - financial crimes - if you think you have a strong case you want a trained lawyer/judge to be assessing the evidence rather than a bunch of unknown/wildcard jurors. So it's often a tactical choice even if you do have the right to a jury trial. (Note that the federal constitution gives you that right in a civil case in federal court, but that doesn't apply to states unless their individual constitutions have a similar right. I don't know about NY)

I'm suggesting that real estate values that collateralize a loan are based on qualified appraisals from a preapproved appraiser chosen by the bank, not from the borrower. Now if Trump claimed he had two children when he only had one, yeah he lied on his loan application. 1
