I guess if you want your elementary school-aged children and grandchildren to have access to reading materials that at a minimum cover oral, anal, and jerking off, you’re right. I’m sure there are states that view those materials more favorably for their elementary school students. The local school district is a branch of the STATE government. They simply cannot teach (or not teach) whatever they want. That is not the job of your local school board.
