WGR says it’s for a 2nd, with a 3rd going back to the Jets.

I would have easily made the same trade for him, but Jets were never sending him here.  This is a good move for Cleveland and makes since for the Jets given their signings.

The Jets moved up in picks, but they swapped very similar WRs.  Main difference being that Hardman is going to cost A LOT more than Moore.

Wish they traded him to us …

Gave him away cheap

They were never trading him to us and if they did it would cost much more than it cost the Browns.

And Hardman could never break out with Mahomes while Moore played with Zach Wilson. Everything being equal, it was a downgrade for the Jets imo.

Biggest gain is Hardman wants to be there, Moore doesn't though.  Moore wants a bigger role, a chance to start.  Hardman accepts what his role is at this point of his career.

Yeah I get it …

Still , seems a  typical Jets move …

That whole Jets QB situation was abysmal.  But, he did the worst possible thing a young player could do - took his frustrations to the NY media.  He was as good as done after that.

Has a good QB (terrible human) now and I am betting he becomes a target hog there.

Interesting to see the difference in draft pick value that the analytics and old schools crowds have on trades like this.

You would add the value of the two picks.

42 - 480

74 - 220

Total value 700 = pick 26.

Why would you add when 42 went to the Jets and 74 went to Cleveland?

The Browns are sending 42 to the Jets who are sending 74 back with Moore.
