Process Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 I really hope this isn't a sign of faith in Brown as a starter. Ideally he would be the one to fill the role of primary back/swing tackle and we would find a starter that isn't a complete turnstile. But if Q comes cheap then it wouldn't be bad to have both him and Brown as backups and this would be a nice signing/depth. Hopefully they still bring in someone that can at least compete and push for the starting job. 3 2 Quote
Low Positive Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 This thread will be two tons of fun. Almost as much fun as we'll have when the BIlls resign Bobby Hart. 10 Quote
Johnnyp566 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Would like to see a younger replacement. Good guy but not someone you want on the field. Quote

I'm starting to think they're going after a pass rusher, again, at 27 or moving back 1 Quote
TheWeatherMan Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 More like Dingleberry. This guy is awful, he’s the one who missed the block that lead to JA17’s arm injury. 5 2 1 Quote
BigBadBills Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 remember when he did the helicopter spin trying to defend Judon? 1 Quote
Logic Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Good re-signing. A capable swing tackle. Multiple posters will no doubt flock to this post, complaining that the Bills didn't do better. In truth, how much did anyone really expect a cap-strapped team that is forced to work the fringes of free agency to spend on a third tackle? And yes, this likely means they're committed to giving Spencer Brown the chance to lock down the RT spot for good this season, but anyone who listened to Beane's recent presser already knew that. 10 1 16 Quote
KingBoots8 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 The sky is falling because we signed a depth player - freak out coming in 5, 4, 3, 2… 1 4 Quote
dreadlox Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 If he is going to compete with Brown then I don’t like it. If he is competing with Tommy Doyle, then I’m okay with it. Still need to draft a guy. 3 1 Quote
Snappysnackcakes Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Guys - you can do a whole helluva lot worse at swing tackle than Q. Hell, he can handle 4 of the 5 OLine spots. Be thankful that he’s being brought to camp and, if someone outplays him, he’ll garner a draft pick. 6 1 Quote
JohnNord Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 He wasn’t very good last season but I guess there are worse players you could sign as back-up tackles. I’m thinking Tommy Doyle is going to challenge for his roster spot 2 1 Quote
Mark Long Beach Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 My preference is that he's our 4th (or 5th) tackle. After a high draft rookie. 1 Quote

That’s the disappointing thing because I think Q is a good depth piece. Maybe we get an OT in the draft somewhere. 1 Quote
