thenorthremembers Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Long road to get back. He was a sub 60% completion guy before the shoulder injury, post shoulder injury he looked like a shell of himself. Really dont see what role he could play for a team at this point. 1 1 Quote

Gregg Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Jets? If the Rodgers deal fails. Although there is talk about Stafford as a backup plan. Quote
DJB Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 He was absolutely horrendous the last time he played and can't throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield. Add in the distraction and diva factor and I doubt he gets signed 1 Quote

If he is not demanding to be on roster Week 1 I can see him being on someone's PS so he can prove what he can do coming in as emergency QB. Week 1 he is too much of a risk IMO. 1 Quote

There's a line forming of people whose lives Zach Wilson is going to be making miserable. Probably with all his whining. 🤔 1 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Cecil Newton is now accepting cash bids for the signing of Cam Newton. 1 1 Quote
That's No Moon Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 (edited) If he can throw even remotely, he would be an excellent backup for us. Edit: you can disagree if you want to, that's fine. I'd like to know which other backup QB is out there that they can use in a similar way that they use Allen. If they had to use Keenum last year the entire offense would have had to change because Keenum can't run. Physically, Newton is what Allen is going to become if they keep using him the way they have been. No he can't throw well anymore, no backup you are signing will throw at an elite level. Newton can at least run. Edited March 21, 2023 by That's No Moon 1 1 1 2 Quote
