Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 UConn really crushing it. First time I have seen them this year— wow. Just mowing over everyone. 1 Quote

They appear to have fixed their second-half woes that plagued them earlier in the season. In a few games they would be up big ar the half and then lose. 1 Quote

That’s the key in March Madness: play your best ball when it matters most. If Creighton can get past San Diego State the Big East will have half of the Final Four. Not too shabby. Big IF though. 1 Quote
Doc Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) BTW it's stupid that the Final Four is a week from yesterday and then the NCG is 2 days later. I get why they're doing it but it's still dumb. Edited March 26, 2023 by Doc 1 Quote

IF a blue jersey touched the ball as it went out of bounds it is a Moot point. But I thought there was a smalll amount of time left on the clock. I wasn't sure HOW they decided the game was indeed over. I will say the foul preceding when the Aztec went to the line was a clear foul by the Creighton player. 1 Quote

The Creighton player also may have stepped over the line before he released the ball on the throw in. Either way I agree there appeared to be either .2 or .3 seconds left when the ball hit out of bounds. Strange call to end it, but it wouldn't have changed the result of the game. Quote

And I’m a Big East guy. 1 minute ago, LOVEMESOMEBILLS said: The Creighton player also may have stepped over the line before he released the ball on the throw in. This was interesting to me. Gene Steretore (sp?) just explained that the black line is still good if you are out of bounds, because it it the edge of OB, but still OB, where the passer was supposed to be. Charles doesn’t like the foul call. This was a doozy!!! 1 Quote
muppy Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) as a followup in the post game discussion the sideline referees went to using a stop watch to hit the button exactly as prescribed by rules determining just how much time had elapsed. THAT measurement was what decided the game. NOT what we actually experienced on TV. Interesting. And hubby says the referee cannot swallow his whistle at the end there either. Because by doing so you actually are penalizing the offensive player. It should not matter the time logistics. A foul is a foul. NCAA basketball Final Four I WILL be watching ...this is so cool. Everybody loves a winner. They're Soaking it in here in socal it is JOYOUS amigos GO AZTECS!~!~!!! Edited March 26, 2023 by muppy 2 Quote
Talley56 Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Had Texas winning it all in my NCAA tournament pool. I was hopeful for a while there as they had a strong lead but hats off to Miami. Heck of a comeback. Hoping anyone but UConn wins it all, but, unfortunately, I think they might take this one possibly with ease. Quote

I have a friend who hand checks me relentlessly on those exact plays and it always throws off my balance on the shot. Ironically, he never calls those fouls, but said he thought it was a foul on Creighton there! 2 Quote

muppy Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Bumperooskie! GO AZTECS!~!~!!! I'm stoked for this game. Happy either way but their epic run may continue today. San Diegans are muy feliz. The Padres are in season again and the NCAA's 2023 SD Aztecs Elite 8 🙂 Hope springs eternal. Quote

Much rather see one of those 2 win it than the UCONN or Miami. 1 1 Quote

I’m hoping for two more great games tonight. With my Xavier out, I’d lean towards a Big East win with UCONN, but great games are my first priority. 3 hours ago, LOVEMESOMEBILLS said: I wish SDSU & FAU weren't meeting up until the championship game. I think it’s awesome! 1 1 Quote
