Not sure we’ll see lots of 12 personnel, we just signed a 5’6 receiver today who will likely have a much bigger role than our backup TE.

That said, I can see Parham being a nice red zone target.

I saw Harty lined up in the backfield on some plays...Davis, two of: (Hines, Cook, Shakir & Harty depending on the game situation), Knox and tight end 2... go no huddle out of that every fourth drive.

Not to make this a Harty post, but Diggs, Harty, Shakir in stacked trips reading coverage on who goes deep middle short with two of Cook, Hines and Knox staying in to block, with the other being the immediate hot route depending on where the pressure is coming from...

Very deep TE class I’d rather take one in the draft and develop him in TE2 sets behind Dawson but his size does give the Bills something they don’t currently have a player who can make a contested catch

There is a 6'8" TE in the draft that I'd like better. There are at least two other TEs (consensus #s 1 and 2) who would do a lot more in developing plays for two TE sets.
I hope we are not being set up for an all-D draft.

Hopefully this happens. Parham has untapped talent.

Be poster 2, not poster 1.

Everyone got unreal expectations when they saw us come up with 45.3 in cap.

But they neglected to factor in we were 18.7 over the cap to begin with and more importantly - we had *24* Free Agents. Even if we let most of them walk, we'd still need to replace those bodies.

This always meant that by and large, we'd have to look for diamonds in the rough. Players that the scouting department identified as having untapped potential and room for growth.

With McGovern, Harty, and possibly Parham - you can see the potential. And if they're able to reach that potential, the "overpays" will become "bargains".

The Bills had low end TE1 production last season at high end TE1 salary cap usage.  Getting improvement in this are is one of keys for the Bills offense for 2023.
