Yeah- the current options to compete with Gabe aren’t looking to good.  Johnston and Addison are the only options that would excite me. Flowers and the rest of the WRs capable of playing outside would probably get beat out by Gabe.  
 

the FA WRs- theilen…. I love his hands so I don’t hate the thought….but I really do hate the thought. 
 

juju- can’t stand this dude. He’s an upgrade over gabe 💯- but I’d rather spend the money elsewhere.  

lazard- no thanks- I don’t want to pay him what others are going to pay him.  

slayton-  meh- better get someone better than him.  He’s ok. Just ok. 

chark- could be a threat but I don’t know how involved he would be. 

Hardman-  I’d prefer a non midget- I’m hoping for more. 

marvin jones-   I think he’s the guy we’re going to sign (along with drafting a WR top 2 rounds).  I love the size and catch radius- could be a good value- I wouldn’t want to pay him more than 3-4M max -

We drafted Bernard in RD3 last year.   Who’s our current slot WR?.. a RD5 rookie last year.   Yet we must pay Wagner or David at the expense of getting Allen another weapon?  

How do ya not think that way. Who have we drafted the past few years that made a big impact year 2. Or year 3 for that matter. After Allen and Edmunds were picked McD stopped letting young players get involved

I have not advocated spending another dime on defense.

I've even come around on dealing Ed Oliver for picks and cap space.

It's a Roquan Smith type move that Chicago executed brilliantly.

 

Do you want an over the hill Hopkins, or flaky injury prone OBJ to suck up any remaining cap space?

I love how you find something wrong with every WR, yet get annoyed at the offense-first fan contingent for not wanting to spend more defensive $$$ on old LB’s or a broken down Safety that doesn’t even want to be here anymore. 
 

Yes, I’d much rather spend the money we have left of Hopkins or OBJ (not at 20M) .. or trade for Jerry Jeudy, who oozes potential and has never played with a guy like Josh Allen. 
 

God forbid we take a swing for our franchise QB…

I somewhat agree on re-tooling.  This is a tweak year.  Improve OL, and skill on O, get younger on D and adjust philosophy on D to become 

ire aggressive.  As long as we can keep Allen upright we are never out of contention.
