I think this is the best bet too.  Or roll the dice on another RB in rd 5-6-7

Agreed. Williams would compliment what the Bills have in Cook and Hines. I don;t want either of those guys carrying on 4th and 1 or 3rd and goal.

Mohamed Ibrahim - Minnesota would be a productive get in the 6th or 7th IMO.

Agreed.  Get Hopkins AND Henry or Ekeler.  It CAN be done. Just have to be creative and it doesn't have to kill your cap down the road either.

I think Hopkins would kill the cap.  Not on board with getting a RB.  However, Henry interests me as he is a freak at his position and would bring something special to the table.  We need to keep our first 3 picks this year.  If a 3rd does it for Henry AND we have to find cap room, I would be in.

Yes, but we were already about $16 Million over the cap, and then we signed Matakevich, Dodson, Cam Lewis, Sam Martin, and Ike Boettger. I'm not sure exactly how much cap we have after all of that, since the full contract details haven't been released for all of them.

But I believe that the Allen/Miller restructuring put us $16mil under. Cumulatively, they saved $32mil in cap. I believe that is what I read.

But I’m posting this from my phone, in a sushi restaurant in downtown LA, and I’m on my second large hot saki. So I could be remembering this wrong…

Oh and a thought on WR, my desire isn't to upgrade Davis, as much as it is to find an elite option at the slot, which will exponentially make the offense better

Buffalo is @$10 million under with the top 51

only 6-8million under with all contracts per Spotrac and OverTheCap.

Got to keep rookie class money and roster filler room too.

Already added a void year hit (660k) to keep Matakevich.... 🤮

Any WR 1B would in fact kill the cap.

It's already been reported Hopkins would restructure his deal once trade.  Could extend him 2-3 years and make it work.

Extend DaQuan, Taron, trade Ed and you have enough cap to do more

Isn't Berrios available?

Also the best WRs in the draft are smaller slot guys.

Neither GM nor Coach exactly made him a starter heading into Next season. I think they basically called him a rising prospect, which for someone who's going into his 3rd year as a starter, isn't the most ringing endorsement.

He's competing for his job

With who?

There is no competition.

Quesenberry is not real competition, and a starting level OT is not going to be cheap enough for our cap I don't think.

It would have to be a draft pick I think.

We could sign a WR 1B and make other moves if we trade Ed Oliver, extend Daquan Jones and/or cut McKenzie.

Is Spotrac factoring in all of the restructures? I don’t think all of the paperwork has been signed.

We're in D2 of the unofficial FA period. They will absolutely add someone to compete with Brown at RT

Me too. Dodson best not be the fallback plan they better be confident they land either David or Wagner.

He might be it, as money spent on MLB when you can move Milano there, and add a younger player to play the Will, is a big opportunity cost.

I think trading Oliver at this point feels almost like a must if the Bills want anything higher than low-level free agents.

Unless the Bills are restructuring Diggs and/or Dawkins, while cutting McKenzie.

Don't know. Spotrac and OTC are both updating as much as possible. Probably explains the variance of $2m in total cap space.

Either way, as it stands right now, Buffalo is under the cap but hardly flush.

Why do we always talk this way about defense but not offense?

We drafted Bernard in RD3 last year.   Who’s our current slot WR?.. a RD5 rookie last year.   Yet we must pay Wagner or David at the expense of getting Allen another weapon?

I see a lot of talk about moving Milano to Edmunds spot and I don’t get it.  Milano is an All Pro on the outside doing what they ask him to do.  Asking him to do what Edmunds did is entirely different.

I think the sound of it makes sense- I’m just not sure it’s a good idea to change what Milano does for our defense.
