Another Fan Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I have a bad case of the Sunday Night Blues tonight and was in a sentimental mood. So I glanced at Jean Paul Muller's channel on YouTube if there were any old Bills games worth scrolling through. His Youtube channel is easily the best for Bills games from the 1980s to 2000s. That's when I came across this one below. Jets vs Bills from 1990. No pun intended I figured just based on the year 1990 the Bills would have won this game something like 51-3. But it's a very good underrated one. Enough for me to want to start a thread on it. While I don't claim to be an official Buffalo Bills games guru I thought I had heard of or read about most exciting nail biter games since the late 1980s. This one I dont recall hearing or reading about anywhere. Some Jim Kelly magic in the last 2 minutes 1 Quote
benderbender Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 (edited) Any time I see the early 90s Jets I think of Dennis Byrd and mostly the TV movie starring Peter Berg. Edited March 13, 2023 by benderbender forgot who Peter Berg was 1 1 Quote

May Day 10 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 The Jets and Patriots would actually give the Bills fits at certain points in their '90s run'. Based on just my memory, they would usually thump the Colts pretty well. 1 Quote
Ned Flanders Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I was at that game and the play calling by the Jets on their last drive was curious, to say the least. Within the three minute mark, they seemed to be playing for a FG...and that gave the Bills way too much time to come back. I remember Norwood missing the XP at the end, and watching the telecast, Criqui remarked that he was "really having a bad year." Little did we know, it would get worse in January. Quote
buffblue Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I remember watching this at Magruders Pub in Depew. It looked like it was going to be a long day when the Jets jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but the Bills rallied. This was part of the 3 game stretch in 1990 when Buffalo pulled off 4th quarter comebacks and when it really started to feel like the season could be special Quote
Peace Frog Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 (edited) The first Bills game I ever attended. Kelly to Mueller with time winding down for the win. What a game! Edited March 13, 2023 by Peace Frog Quote
Charles Romes Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 That field looks like a concrete injury factory. Surprised we were able to field a team. Quote
