Well then… surprised he would want to play for them, and not wait and see if anything better came a long. I guess at this point in his  career get the money… 🤷🏼

Joe Marino thought 2 years $10M would get it done.

Nope.

Got to make more and keep more of it, just not going to have a shot at winning, pretty clearly a money grab.  Can’t blame him at this point in his career.

It's expensive given Woods play last season but if he returns to form they either get a good player for a couple seasons or a mid-season trade chip at a position that is bringing real value back in return.

His dad, also named Robert Woods, played for Houston and grew up in Louisiana. Maybe that has something to do with it. Not sure.

When you are the Texans you have to overpay...much like Buffalo used to have to do. Not anymore.

The Bills actually still overpay for average free agents........Daquan Jones is a steady $4M aav snap-sharing block absorber and they gave him about $7.5 aav for some reason........and the $6M for Rodger Saffold deal made no sense at all.   The "Buffalo as a destination" value-acquisition-thing hasn't really materialized as promised.   They keep some of their own on good deals and do actually get some cheap prove-it and ring chasing low end deals like Crowder and Quessenberry that they would have never gotten when they sucked though.

Clearly went for his bag because that team isn’t winning

You don’t think they can turn it around and creep into the P/O’s by capturing a division title?

Tennessee is in literal liquidation; weird why they wouldn’t try and ship a few of these cuts into picks seeing as they only have 5 come April (I believe).

Indy? Yikes! What you got going on there?! Team was poised to compete the past few years but bad decisions at QB still lead them down that rabbit hole.

Jacksonville are coming off a reasonable 9-8 record from 3-14 the year before. One which they got hot against underwhelming teams to round out their year. Who knows what you’re getting next year.

They have the cap space, the draft ammo and potentially a coach players will be willing to play for. With that division as it stands… Why not just winning period but taking the division?

EDIT:

They also have the third easiest schedule for 2023-24 @ .431  OW%

Kind of happy the bills didn’t sign woods.

They need to get faster and younger, and woods is the opposite of that

I want young, promising 4-5 yr contract wrs making plays for Josh.

Reunion would have been cute but we got our slot guy on a rookie deal.

Shakir is going to have a breakout sophomore year.

He's turning 31 in a few weeks. Had a really solid career and four years ago I would have been more excited to bring him here. Wish him well but not disappointed we didn't get him.
