Feel like we missed the boat on that, even as a one year rental, that’s a solid player they could have had for a 6th.

Ravens do not likely think JEST are rivals for playoffs but Bills are and have beaten them several times so may not have traded with Buffalo.

A little surprised not traded to NFC.

Yep! Beane asleep at the wheel while the Jets just seemingly get better.

The AFC east is going to be a dogfight. I can see the Bills finishing 1st or 3rd. Not much separation between the 3 team's.

Is there a changing of the guard taking place?

A little dramatic, don't you think Newcam??  Season doesn't start for 6 months.  If Chuck Clark was that good, I don't think the Ravens would have just let him go for a 7th round pick.

And that's fine if the AFC East is a dogfight.  We have the best player in the division, if the not the entire league.  Try and relax.  Watch some Nascar for awhile.  And there is also a good series on Netflix about the PGA Tour called Full Swing.  I would recommend it.

Late 1st and early 2nd isn’t the worst spot to grab a safety. You’re hopefully getting the best in the draft.

Unless they plan to completely change their defensive philosophy from a lazy one to an aggressive one that utilizes a first round type talent, then yes it’s a waste taking any safety in the 1st

They’re already there with competent QB play and young players developing, Wilson becoming a true WR1.

Outside of Wilson, they have zero weapons. No TE option . Davis is superior to Elijah Moore.

They'd have Breece Hall coming off an ACL. Really bad OL. Def worse than ours.

Overall ARod had a better O in GB. Would have better D in Jersey.  It'd be interesting but they're no more than a WC team

Thank you. With respect I am as relaxed as can be. Thanks for inquiring or at least being inquisitive.

NASCAR isn't my thing but golf certainly gets my attention.

Who doesn't love March madness?

It will be very interesting to see the Bills upcoming decisions. In the past, I've had great confidence in Beane, the scouting department, and Coach McD. Frankly, the last few years they have underwhelmed in my eyes. The confidence factor is much less. Pretty sure I'm not the only one that feels such?

This off season should very well tell us what path the Bills organization is on.

We’re until proven otherwise but roster wise the Bills have work to do if they lose Poyer and Edmunds.

We get Hyde and should be 100% White. We'll be fine but need Von to return to form for sure. He made the biggest impact on our D last year and our O is far superior if they had ARod

I would take the Jets defense over the Bills.

We're superior at every offensive position except LT and RB IF Hall comes back to form.

I'd give them a slight edge on D.

We're still by far the East favorite

I get that tje Bills are favorites to win the division. They are defending champions and have the best QB in the division by a country mile.

I'd argue that the Bills roster is not much better if that than the Dolphins and the Jets. That's very debatable. As mentioned, Allen is really the difference maker.

Just go back to last season and watch the Bills vs the Jets and Miami. You can't tell me that both those teams aren't breathing down the backs of the Bills.

The Bills have by far the best QB situation and a solid supporting roster. I am not too worried about the AFC East just yet. The Jets trading for an average safety is not worrying me. If there is one thing I trust McBeane on it is the secondary. If McBeane felt like Chuck Clark wasn't a fit for replacing Poyer then it likely wasn't a good fit. Poyer in 2017 was a no-name player. Prior to coming to Buffalo Poyer started 10 games for the Browns over 2 seasons and wasn't graded out very high in the games he did start. Many fans were puzzled why in 2017 he got a 4-year deal with 7 million guaranteed. But he far exceeded the contract and even got an extension.

Levi Wallace was an undrafted free agent who played fairly well in the system, Dane Jackson was a 6th-round pick and has been a capable starting corner, Dean Marlowe and Hamlin have played decently at times. If there is one aspect of the team I do think the Bills can find players at it is the secondary.

We will see what McD can do with the defense now that he's likely taking over. I can't wait to see it.

Would’ve LOVED for the Bills to have made this move. Makes me wonder if there are any other starting caliber players that Beane could trade our 6th round pick for.

Yeah and we heard all last offseason the Dolphins would challenge for the division crown. Then midway through the season it was “the Jets and Dolphins have caught up to the Bills”. They ended up winning the division 4 games clear of second place. The Bills are still a class above the rest of the AFC East until someone proves otherwise.

I don't disagree with that. The Bills should be the favorites. Like I said I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they finished 1st to 3rd.

No.

I think a lot depends on the QB situation for Miami and NY. If the Jets get Rodgers that would put them on par with the Bills.

A healthy Tua certainly can beat the Bills. Heck, they almost beat Buffalo in a home playoff game with a 3rd stringer. Let's not overlook the Bills offense was completely healthy.

I'm not sure why so many on here think the Bills team is a lot better than either of these teams. The gap is miniscule in my eyes if either opposing team QB situation gets solved. Even if it doesn't, look at how the games were played last year.

I certainly am interested at looking at getting Miami or the Jets to win the East. Depends on the odds and upcoming events.

Right now, Miami and Jet fans have to feel pretty good about knocking off the Bills. I think prior to last season the belief wasn't there. The Bills were feared and in awe of. Those days are over as it's evident the Bills teams can be manhandled on the line of scrimmage.

I'll give you the Jets and Dolphins. I'll take the Bills. Patriots win it then no bet. $50?

Good response Newcam.  I was being somewhat fascetious.  I agree this is a big offseason for the Bills.  And I also agree that things are not as rosy as they have been the past couple offseasons.  That being said, I believe that the Cincinnati game was a big cold slap in the face for the entire organization.  Beane likes to act like the coolest guy in the room.  That's his MO.  But I think he will make some solid moves building our roster for 2023.  We need to be much stronger on the O line.  And need more weapons for Josh Allen.  I am fine with letting Edmonds walk.  He is a good player.  But is not a gamechanger or overly nasty mean and instinctive.  I believe he is replaceable.  I think Poyer is a better football player.  But injuries have taken their toll like they do on most veterans at some point.  I did like McDermott saying in one interview that we need to be nastier on defense.  That makes me feel better knowing that he sees what needs improving on the defense.  But in today's NFL, games are usually won with a whole bunch of offense.  (look at the Super Bowl)  So lets put our best resources there.

I wasn't a Nascar fan until 2020.  But now I watch every race.  Full Swing is a good documentary series on the PGA.  The second episode was about Brooks Koepka.  He was just crumbling last year after dominating in 2017-2019.  His mind is a mess.  And he was just miserable on the course and at home.  But his girlfriend/fiance is pretty hot.  So he does have that going for him.
