MrEpsYtown Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 A lot of interesting names out there. I would think it would be smart of them to sign quick before free agency opens like Robert Woods did. Quote
ChevyVanMiller Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Zeke about to hit the open market. RBs available continues to grow. I wonder if Motor will get an offer at this point? https://deadspin.com/reports-cowboys-to-release-rb-ezekiel-elliott-1850228020 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 He signed a six-year, $90 million contract in 2019. We won't see a back get that kind of money again for a long, long time. 1 Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) He didn’t do his position any favors for being such a high profile player with a World of talent hit the wall so hard after year three. Not good for RBs that deserve more $$ Edit: he had more good years than I thought Edited March 15, 2023 by Thrivefourfive Quote

I think that he won't get much more than that. Quote
BuffaloBaumer Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 I can honestly think of nothing worse. That guy just makes me sick looking at him. No more eating for that ego... 1 Quote

He was being used and abused and wanted to get paid before the "wall" issue crept up. RBs, get discarded, for the most part after being used up. Zeke was proactive in this regard. He played Jerry Jones brilliantly. Good for him. Edit: the fact that he got "I'm the smartest GM" Jerry to pay him, makes it even better in my view. Jerry should have consulted his old "buddy" Jimmy Johnson on this. Jimmy would have laughed at Jerry for even thinking of paying Zeke. Edited March 15, 2023 by Dopey Quote

BearNorth Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Does make you wonder about the Giants franchise tagging Saquon at 10MM +, seems like a lot given his injury history and the shelf life of RB's. Quote

And he’s a very physical back. He should’ve been an all time great. His size and speed and cro magnon toughness was unique. My assumption is he wasn’t obsessed with staying in shape in the off season. Quote
