I would be surprised if they took Dell in the draft unless he lasted into the middle rounds, say round 4 or later. He is just so small and I think they've plenty well addressed the slot at this point with Shakir, Harty and now Sherfield. 1 Quote

I am a little incredulous that Sherfield or Harry will be long term answers in our WR room. This is a great year to get a slot superstar between JSN, Flowers, Downs, Dell and Jarrett. Certainly missed that in our offense last year. 3 Quote

Certainly missed that in our offense last year. I’m not saying that any of Harty, Sherfield and Shakir are so established that they couldn’t find someone in the draft who is better - and I really like JSN, Flowers and Downs - but with plenty odd needs on OL, LB, S, and maybe DT and DE, it seems like a better plan to address those needs, including a WR who can play out wide (with at least average size to do so). I would not be upset if they added any of JSN, Flowers and Downs. Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 (edited) Sometimes they hide visits. Like last year the Elam visit came out really late in the process. Sometimes the key is looking at the positions they are bringing in. Like last year they met with a ton of linebackers and drafted two, but neither were reported visits. Guys, they drafted who they reportedly met with last year: Kaiir Elam James Cook Matt Araiza UDFA Jalen Wydermyer (signed) In 2021: Jack Anderson In 2020: Zach Moss So sometimes you have to look at what isn't being reported to get clues. And here is an "all combine interview" mock (except the last two picks - no players on this list left.....) LB: 2 So on OBL, Maddie Glab, Tasker and Brown did a “mock draft watch”. Apparently a number of mock drafts by pundits have the Bills taking with Trenton Simpson or Iowa LB Jack Campbell in the 1st. I see Trenton Simpson on your list, but what about Jack Campbell, any word that the Bills have had interviews with him at all? He’s not on Ryan Talbot’s list either Two WR to whom Greg Cosell gave a nod, Jordan Addison and Zay Flowers, both on the list. Edited March 23, 2023 by Beck Water Quote
Yantha Posted March 23, 2023 Author Posted March 23, 2023 Nothing public about Campbell yet, but as someone else said here, sometimes that might just mean they don't want to telegraph interest. Quote

No need for an actual meeting with Campbell I would believe. I'm sure Luke has told Beane and McDermott all they need to know, then they have the tape as well. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/iowas-jack-campbell-is-a-middle-linebacker-nfl-scouts-destined-to-love/article_4159d946-b933-11ed-ad5c-2f2d2aa26cab.html#:~:text=Jeremiah said Campbell has been,third-round pick in 2020. Quote Jeremiah said Campbell has been training in preparation for the combine with retired NFL great Luke Kuechly, the ultimate NFL linebacker in terms of combination of talent and instincts. Quote
