Brady has 7 diamonds without much pressure in the division.

Do you find it hard to root for the Bills? Serious question, if you don’t mind answering.

Careful, he’s going to point to Rodgers’ SB ring to prove you wrong. 😀

Not at all. I love the Bills. Nearly broke my fist pounding on the TV stand when Gabe Davis caught the go-ahead TD in KC in the 2021 playoffs.

Its after the game, when I see the mistakes and inept decisions by management where I become bitter.

Part of going through the various emotions is learning to let go of that bitterness

Whenever you carry it into the next season, it’s a problem

Is that from experience?

For myself, this coming season will be the first season ever that I'll be going into a season with that bitter feeling about the Bills. It will be an interesting one.

Apologies if this was posted upthread, but Jason LaCanfora just SCORCHED the ideo of Aaron Rodgers trade to the Jets with Sal Capaccio:

Thats actually kinda what I think would happen.... they pay for Rodgers, they become WC fodder at best, Rodgers retires, they have nothing to get a new QB.

I just want this stalemate to at least go past the draft. I think it makes sense for it to go past this draft too. Jets have a fairly high pick this year. They don't want to give up #13. But in 2024 they figure to have a pick in the 20-30 range from their perspective. Also, Green Bay could actually benefit more in having an extra 2024 first rounder. They use this year to evaluate Love. If they think he is not the guy then they have two first rounders in the 2024 draft to move up and get their QB if there is one that they like.

I do think there should be a 2025 conditional pick on whether or not Rodgers plays the 2024 season with the Jes. Could be as high as another 1st or 2nd round pick in 2025 if say the Jets make the playoffs in 2024 and Rodgers starts more than 50% of the games.

Jets will really start to cave after this draft IMO.

I don't think the Jets cave at all after the draft. In fact, they have more power the longer this goes. GB doesn't want AR on the roster Week 1, where they'll have to guarantee his $59 million salary. They also don't want him showing up to OTA's and TC since that will cause a media circus (and AR probably would love doing it). GB has to trade him by Week 1, or cut him.

GB will also not get a 1st at all. Favre netted them only a 4th, which became a 3rd conditionally, and only the year later in 2009 (could have become a 2nd if the Jets made the playoffs and a 1st if they made the SB).

That depends on whether or not GB is content to eat the $59 million and just pay him to stay home. Pretty sure they can give him the Watson treatment. Rodgers has already declared his intent to not play for GB so they have a justifiable reason to not have him around the team. No matter what, Rodgers in not playing for the Packers next year. The salary is what it is, at this point in free agency it's not like they are going to spend that $59 million on players that put them over the top as a contender. The number one thing the Packers can do to benefit their team is to get as much back in pick value as they can for Rodgers.

I believe the Jets will be far more willing to trade a 2024 first round pick than their current #13 pick this year.

And can you imagine how much of a circus it would be for the Jets organization to have Zach Wilson taking all the first team reps at the start of Jets training camp? All while the New York media asks every day when the Rodgers deal is going to get done. To me that is a much bigger distraction than Rodgers potentially showing up to Packers training camp. And it's not like the Jets can tell Wilson to stay home.

There’s plenty of time until the season begins. Those emotions will fade. At least I hope, for some.
Come on and sing it with me:

The Bills make me wanna SHOUT!

Kick your heels up and SHOUT!

Throw your hands up and SHOUT!

Throw your head back and SHOUT!

C’mon now, the Bills are makin’ it happen now…

Stand up now c’mon and shout..

YEAA-AAAH! YEAA-AAAH!

That’s Shout, not Scream.

Yeah, I feel like I do after some of the mid-season losses. Where right after I tell myself, I'm not even going to watch the next game. I'm going to take a break. But then come the following Sunday there I am in front of the TV.

That's how I sort of feel about the upcoming season, but I am certain I will be watching every game.

I watched consecutive 2-14 seasons. I know the feeling.

Yep.  It completely clouds your judgement and you become completely unreasonable.  Luckily, Einstein isn’t like that and we all enjoy his posts.

I wonder what happens if Rodgers goes to camp for Packers and gets planters fasciitis and cannot play.

He then becomes the spokesperson for Planter's Peanuts?  Would look good as 'Mr. Peanut'!
