VABills Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Well he has started 1 game. Played in 11 over a 3 year period. Never been penalized and never given up a sack. http://snap.stats.com/stats/nflinfo/player...p?yr=O&id=06179
eball Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 i hate this signing. until a couple of weeks ago i had never heard of him. what the hell is TD doing?
Art in PNS Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 He was too smart for the Phin line up. Seriously he signs a vet minimum contract comes to camp and competes. If he sucks and McNally can't do anything with him , see ya. If he responds he beats out Lawrence Smith who hasn't done anything to impress yet . Could be camp fodder could be a solid back up, I have no clue and in May it doesn't much matter.
VABills Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Name: Greg Jerman Position: Offensive Guard Grade: 67 | Key Alert: None Comment: Jerman has shown steady improvement since entering the league and he is expected to compete for a starting job this year. Jerman is a much better fit at guard but he has enough versatility to line up at tackle as well. Plays with a mean streak and is physical at the point of attack. Possesses good size, has the lower body strength to drive defenders off the ball and rarely loses a battle once locked on. As a pass blocker, shows adequate initial quickness and rarely allows defenders to shoot the inside gap. Possesses excellent work ethic and should only continue to get better with age. However, Jerman's potential is limited by his lack of athletic ability and his technique is somewhat inconsistent.. Doesn't show great awareness and has problems adjusting to the blitz as well as line stunts. Jerman isn't fundamentally sound, he will need to be protected when the Dolphins drop back to pass and he offers little as a downfield blocker. Ideally, Taylor Whitley bounces back from a disappointing rookie season and wins the starting right guard job. This would allow Jerman stay in a backup role where he can provide quality depth and continue to work on technique.
The Tomcat Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Don't we have enough guards???? I don't get it.....
PromoTheRobot Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Don't we have enough guards???? I don't get it..... 344829 What's not to get? Sign a lot of people. Let them compete. The best ones get to stay. Simple. PTR
brihs2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 I just don't like that they aren't fully happy with who we have currently on the roster (even though it is only May)
BillsFanForever19 Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Meh, I just hope we didn't spend much on him. Bennie Anderson Chris Villarial Ross Tucker Lawrence Smith Ben Sobieski Justin Geisinger Justin Bannan Plus all the other fodder Guards we have. Now we signed Greg Jerman. How many do we need?!
Ralonzo Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Never been penalized and never given up a sack. 344796 Neither have I. Guess why? Because I have no business on an NFL Offensive Line either.

Thailog80 Posted May 25, 2005 Author Posted May 25, 2005 I thought Price's knees were shot and that's why he's not been resigned? 344764 I hadn't heard that. Hmmm.
VABills Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 I hadn't heard that. Hmmm. 344862 That's correct. But that was really why Gandy was signed to fill the role of Price. We still do not have a LT, and as the days go on I see teague moving out there, and that scares me. When he was the LT in Denver he sucked.
Tom Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 He can't even spell his last name correctly. At least his first name only has two G's.........
Sound_n_Fury Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Meh, I just hope we didn't spend much on him. Bennie Anderson Chris Villarial Ross Tucker Lawrence Smith Ben Sobieski Justin Geisinger Justin Bannan Plus all the other fodder Guards we have. Now we signed Greg Jerman. How many do we need?! 344837 IMO, Smith and Sobieski have shown all they have and are gone. Bannan was shifted back to DT and is out of the mix. That leaves one open spot behind Anderson, Villarial, Tucker and Geisinger.
Frez Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Go ahead and ask the DIEHARD Raven fans what they think of Bennie Anderson. Speaking of swinging gates.........
plenzmd1 Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Can't see how it can hurt if no bonus involved. Christ, I do not care if they bring in 30 OL as long as`they do not affect the cap, which I assume this dude does not.

I think we could add a Tackle after June 1 and then release a guard if necessary.
