Amazing numbers. Can he throw accurately & read defenses?

Expand

His “accuracy” reminds me of Josh when he first came into the league. When his mechanics are good he is accurate. Like Josh was. I think inconsistent rather than fatally inaccurate. As for as the mental side of things I suspect, like most QBs coming into the league, hes got a ways to go.His physical ability is elite.

Yeah. Still slower than  Diggs, McKenzie and Shakir. No thanks, especially not at 27.

Speed, especially 40 time, is not the end all.  Guys can be productive in the NFL running in the 4.5s.  Now, Addison’s time combined with his slight frame is not the best combination.  Yet, he gets open anyway and has good hands.

Kupp ran what a 4.6?  Route running is as more about suddenness understanding defenses and less about top speed.  That's why as old as Beasley is he's probably still better at getting open than McKenzie.

True, but he's also 6'2", 200+lbs and a 3rd rnd pick.

McKenzie is better in man, Beasley is better finding open spots in zone And options routes.

Jack Campbell is a monster. A little slower than Tremaine, but just as big with Luke Keuchly’s instincts and crazy explosive numbers and ridiculous agility. This is the guy I want as our new Mike. I don’t know where he gets drafted, but he’s a dude.

This is the actual next Brian Urlacher/Luke Keuchly

Man I am going to talk myself into wanting a MLB at the end of the 1st round. I know a defensive pick would bring criticism. But if Campbell becomes the tone setter on defense that I think he'll be it would be a game changer.

It's not. But at his size, I would think his 40 would be better than it was for a supposedly mid 1st rounder. I think we need a bigger outside wr.

I figured a centralized place for the combine news would probably be a good idea as we start seeing player evaluations begin.

Here is a breakdown of the Combine schedule for the remainder of this week:

March 2 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DL, LB

March 3 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DB, PK/ST

March 4 (1 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): QB, WR, TE

March 5 (1 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET): OL, RB

The combine takes place at its usual stomping grounds of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and it should hopefully be an exciting week of coverage. Prepare for your early mock drafts to be blown to bits, and may all our picks be future HOF’ers.

...you got me with the HOFers hook... 😁

No to defense! Sorry man. The 27th  pick has to be an offensive player. I wouldn't mind if every pick was offensive.

I'm going into rhis year with the mindset of giving Allen protection and weapons. Let him cook.

The defense falls where it falls. McD can try to get the best out of what he has.

The organization has to change its mentality and focus. For too long it has concentrated on upgrading the defense. It hasn't worked come playoff time.

They need a replacement for Tremaine.  I can see Campbell being the pick.

Isn't Tremaine still on the team and FA over a week away?

Have we heard a bad word out of McBeane about him.

Not saying it happens, but I think it's premature to pretend we can't retain Edmunds if we really want to, especially considering his age.

Make it a 6 year deal and frontload it with a big signing bonus. Makes the CAP hit this year 7-9 million, which doesn't hurt the team in terms of FA for other positions and keeps a player we drafted and developed, which is a big McBeane philosophy.
