Personally I'd take each over Marcus at the same pricepoint. Heinicke would be my top pick yet he's likely going to be looking for starting oppurtunity which he might get with Wentz gone unless Washington trades or pursues someone in free agency/drafts a kid early. No_Matter_What Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Mariota is fine with me. As is any other reclamation project or former starter, provided that he gets max. $2M. No more spending on BU QBs. Just roll the dice with Josh. Quote
GunnerBill Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 I'd be open to Mariota as a backup. 5 minutes ago, No_Matter_What said: Mariota is fine with me. Trubisky might be out there again too. Let the market fall the first couple of days of FA and then take the best of the serviceable vets left. Quote

There's nothing about Keenum, Tribisky or Mariota that excites me. Darnold would be my 1st choice but he'd also be too pricey. Quote

Hard pass. Mentally weak and not very good. So many better options. The only thing he brings to the table in terms of fit in Buffalo is he can scramble with his legs. But that is not even close enough on a team that is a high volume passing team. Edited February 28, 2023 by Alphadawg7 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 He is not the kind of long-term backup I would want. Quote
BigAl2526 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 I think I'd look at other options. 1 Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 If he will come on for league minimum then I am all in but more because of cost and unlikelihood that he ever plays in a game that matters. I don't think any backup will be even decent on this team unless we get the line figured out Quote
JoshAllin Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 (edited) He's a poor mans Josh. So as a backup yes would be a fit Edited February 28, 2023 by motorj Quote

Patrick Duffy Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 I don't know but, I would like to have a QB2 that is more mobile over Case Keenum. Quote

Other than that, I like him. He's beyond horrible at the NFL level. I have no idea who would sign him, even if for peanuts. Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I love bringing him in as a backup, mainly because I live in Hawaii and suddenly the Bills would be in the news and on TV consistently (though honestly they were this past season, anyway) and there would suddenly be a bunch of Bills fans out here. He'd be a great backup and should be cheap. 1 Quote
