Pete Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 (edited) The timing is a douche move by Leslie, if the move was not forced by Bills. We have Super Bowl aspirations, now we are scrambling. It’s BS- he quits on team after the rest of NFL secures their coaching staffs, and it’s combine week. Edited March 3, 2023 by Pete Quote

They have 3 men on staff with D-Coordinator experience outside of McDermott who can choose to act as the DC. And all the fantasizing about hiring a new DC from outside the organization who will run a different defense was never happening anyway. They’re going to run the same defense because that’s the scheme McD believes in. 1 Quote

Not much is gonna change but I hate to be breaking in two inexperienced play callers at the same time. Bills do not drive a clown car. You will not be breaking in any. Quote

Of course it was forced by the Bills, which makes it an even bigger douche move by Bills because they waited until after all the other available DC jobs were taken. The guy had a top-5 D for 6 years. Have some respect and let him catch on somewhere else. 2 Quote

His contract was up and everyone knew this. The Bills were within their right to move on due to this. They chose not to and to let it play out. Quote

Even if Fraser did do it at the last minute, leaving the bills hanging I still say that they might be in a better situation, if it becomes forced upon McDermott to take over those duties McDermott is actually pretty good at this Quote
LyndonvilleBill Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Mike Pettine could be interesting if they go outside, but I agree with others. Probably Holcomb. https://www.google.com/amp/s/buffalowdown.com/2023/02/28/buffalo-bills-leslie-frazier-2023-replacements/amp/ 1 Quote
3rdand12 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 McD needs to change up his method. As mentioned , he did during the second half of the chargers game with good results. I am sure he can change up and become more aggressive for the upcoming season. The trick is when to turn it up. My opinion is he will have Al Holcomb run a slightly tweaked Defense with all the assistant and position Coached more focused on a "get after it pressure" D, and less the "confuse them" D. Which no longer confused them as they were always reacting to Offenses. So Holcomb get the job , with more of Sean's hand in making the transition to his semi new look Defense Quote
