CoachChuckDickerson Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 but, but, I have heard of him....What is TD doing?
Like A Mofo Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 but, but, I have heard of him....What is TD doing? 344490 I think Rice is too tall to get TD's attention
Arkady Renko Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 some people just don't know when to hang it up . 344478 Rice and any other player shouldn't feel any pressure to leave on top. Let them play as much as they want. If he's happy with his choice, who's to tell him to stop playing?
SestakFan Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Rice was done about 3 years ago. As far as I am concerned, putting this guy on your roster does nothing but take away a shot for a young guy to make the team. Shanahan has not won much lately, so the pressure is on. A TYPICAL TBD POST: RICE SIGNS WITH THE DENVER!!! stupid TD loses another sure thing.....
John in VA Beach Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 For a guy who did nothing in Seatle, everytime I saw a game they were playing Rice got mentioned constantly by the commentators. Rice brings nothing but hype to the field anymore.

eball Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 some people just don't know when to hang it up . 344478 i don't think any of "us" have the right to tell a pro athlete to hang it up. it's just a shame that the athletes are always the last to realize that their skills have diminished to a point where they are shells of their former selves. it's also a shame that the people around them (family, agent) can't be honest with them. if rice is able to put his HOF career in the background and accept a role as the 3rd or 4th WR for the broncos, he could actually contribute. but that's a big if. i hope for denver's sake that shanahan laid that out clearly when he met with him, because if not, the first time jerry doesn't get the ball thrown to him and the media approaches in the locker room, denver has a problem on its' hands.
