Looks like Poyer is more than willing to leave and play for Miami of all places.

I'm sure at this point in his career he wants to go to a team he thinks has a shot at winning it all. He played against Miami 3xs this year. Read between the lines.

A Poyer on a Miami team certainly bolsters their chances to dethrone the Bills.

I think Rachel influenced his thinking here  lol

Why get butthurt about a player wanting to get paid and be in nice weather? I’ve moved for more money and better weather before. No one criticized me. In fact, many complimented my decision to do what was best for my career. Poyer’s only obligation is to his family. His family lives in South Florida. If he has a chance to play for the Dolphins and get paid, it makes a lot of sense.

is it too late to criticize you ?
You live near Punta Gorda ?

Wow what a concept, the wife gets a say in where she wants him to play. It’s almost like they have a normal marriage!

Poyer stated that New York State takes 50% of his earnings. So he's exaggerating quite a bit. He also takes an easy cheap shot about our weather...... Poyer became a star with he Bills. One of my favorite players. Sad he couldn't leave with some grace... "IF" he signs with the Dolphins, I'll cheer a little louder against them.... If that's possible

I'm sure there's nothing that a husband would enjoy more  than his wife 'living the nightlife' 🙃

Safeties are not paid that well, for the NFL that is, not 'real life'. And he is 32, it doesn't help. But it's crazy how Poyer and Hyde were such a force. Almost no deep plays happened or confusion in the coverage since they have been here,

A city with great nightlife doesnt mean a relationship becomes promiscuous. Couples can actually enjoy nightlife together as well as with friends.

To your point with Hyde and Poyer.

They are a product of scheme that compliments their skill sets and chemistry  as much as talent. Years together have made them one of the leagues best tandems. Our Safety position will suffer if he's not retained.

That type of camaraderie and confidence in each other's play isn't easy to replicate.

All they had to do was win a SB.  Now our star players are getting fed up and leaving.

Fail Tom Hiddleston GIF

Not sure if serious

Whatever you have made the actual decision that you’re going to let player go, you can’t be upset whenever they choose the team they want

The real question and everybody should be asking is Jordan Poyer injuries are mounting up with him going to a division rivals actually be more like a Trojan horse situation

It's likely he's a little upset and maybe a bit bitter that the Bills are likely not to sign him.

The guy left it all on the field blood, guts, bones, and heart. He was a leader led by example. No way you can't relate to Poyer. He gave it his all every play every down.  As a fan, I couldn't ask for anything more. Imho, he epitomizes what it means to be a Bill. I'll miss Poyer. The business side of football sure can be be ugly and heartless.

To be accurate, we all criticized you, but we kept it kinda quiet.  😋

I have no hard feelings if he moves on. These are decisions we make in life. We do what is best for us and our families. The red white and blue is not only uniform he’s played in, it’s just the most recent. I have no hard feelings if he goes to Miami. It didn’t change the way I felt about Thurman.

Is it bad if I hope the Dolphins seriously overpay, and he’s not as available as they had hoped?

EDIT: Pretend it’s not football, and YOUR team. What if this is an accountant or a nurse? Do you complain then

Too late, I’m back in Buffalo (was in NOLA). I came back for more money.

And nobody should question or judge you for that decision.

I’m not where I want to be, but I understand why I am here. It makes the most sense for my family.

It is taxed based on where you earn the Money.  NYS certainly taxes the bonuses for Bills players.

Yes, and they may tax bonuses heavier. I get a monthly bonus at work and it's taxed 40%, and trust me it ain't anywhere near what nfl players get

To keep it simple, NY state income tax is 10.9%, Florida is 0.  That's a pretty significant difference

Let’s not forget about property tax being significantly more.  I used to have a 100k house in Rochester NY.  Taxes were 4k per year.

He's dead to me now

I will have no trouble booing for him. We helped him just as much as he helped us. If it's "just business" to him then he will understand and have no hard feelings
