mead107 Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) Tua is working with U.S. Olympic judoka Jason Morris to learn how to properly fall to reduce impact on his head. #NFL Jason grew up next to my sister medal winner in Olympics. Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 If your qb needs to practice falling down in the off-season, maybe it's time to upgrade the o-line. 11 Quote
Chicken Boo Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) First rule, I would think, would be to not throw your head back like a toddler throwing a tantrum. Edited February 24, 2023 by Chicken Boo 1 Quote
DCbillsfan Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 It's a rather common thing, to learn how to fall in any defensive tactics course. If you are falling backwards, you learn to tuck your chin into your chest before hitting the ground. Your back hits the ground and absorbs the hit and not the back of your head. It's a good move on Tua's part. I've slipped on ice a couple of times and it's saved my ass. No doubt. 3 1 Quote

JGMcD2 Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Practiced different forms of martial arts growing up… this always felt like second nature to me. I actually joked that Tua should take some classes in the off-season. I don’t get the hype around the guy, but happy he’s doing things to help prevent injury, because he is a nice guy. Quote

Mr. WEO Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 a guy coming in unblocked and driving you to the ground? There is nothing "judo" is going to help you with there... Quote
Beast Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) I wonder how many concussions he’ll suffer while learning his kung fu theatre stuff. He’ll bark the cadence at the LOS next season and his mouth will be off-sync with what he’s yelling out. Edited February 24, 2023 by Beast Quote
YodaMan79 Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 This will be as successful as Jimmy Rollins was, when trying to teach Michael Vick on how to properly slide. Quote

SoCal Deek Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 With all the money that teams invest in their QBs it’s hard to believe that they aren’t ALL getting an instructor to come in and teach them how to fall. Quote
