nato7412 Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Should the bills target Woods if he could be signed for around 6-8 million? 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 No. If he wants to come back to Buffalo for 2-3 mill and ring chase, sure. But he has his ring so I can't see that. 3 1 3 Quote
HappyDays Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 He'll be 31 this year and hasn't had a good season since 2020. I would take him as a last resort option if we can't get one of the better veteran WRs that will be available. Would much prefer a clear upgrade though, not a shot in the dark. 1 2 1 Quote
Nextmanup Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 As depth help, if we could get him cheap, sure. His blocking alone could be an advantage with play design, though I don't think our OC operates on that sort of level. 2 1 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 I’ve been waiting for this thread. I loved Robert Woods both in college and as a professional. He’s bounced around a lot but has always looked productive to me. 1 Quote
Straight Hucklebuck Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 He fits the profile of the veteran WR that Beane signs in FA. Emmanuel Sanders, Jamison Crowder, John Brown, Cole Beasley. All around 30 when the Bills came calling. 1 5 Quote
US Egg Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 He acted as a professional player, and person, here in a time not so good offensively, and still produced. Good for him that he’s a young wealthy man. 2 Quote

And that's the point, he will be 31. Can a 31 year old help, maybe, but it would have to be a small price tag. Quote

K D Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Bobby Trees would be a good #3 if we moved on from Gabe but we need a #2 or maybe a #1 if Diggs wants to leave Quote

Passing game when he went out was impacted. Quote
KingBoots8 Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 (edited) I’d love him back, and maybe the prospect of playing with JA would be appealing, but he didn’t seem interested in signing with us after his first run. Maybe it was the staff, or QB, or Buffalo itself, but I’d be willing to take him in at a team-friendly deal. If I remember he was very well-liked while here. Would be a nice fit if Beas decides to call it a career again. …that being said, WR in rounds 1-3 please. Edited February 22, 2023 by KingBoots8 Quote
Yantha Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Pass.... We have Gabe Davis and he will rebound next season. Guaranteed. It was a blip.... he'll be back. Plus we can draft a WR for cheaper $$ and have more for the O-line revamp. 2 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 He should be on a plane back to Buffalo right now. 1 Quote
