That said, the SEC (aside from UGA) has been on par with the Big XII defensively the past couple of years. Lets get real. EXAMPLE: Oklahoma State had a top 2 defense in 2021, only 2nd to Georgia. While the Cowboys were playing games where they allowed like 2 touchdowns in the 2nd half all season that year, Florida was giving up 52 points to Samford. I was at PLENTLY of Ole Miss home games where it would get into a ridiculous shootout (like the Ole Miss v Arkansas game in 2021, 100+ points scored). Don't act like the SEC is a defensive conference anymore. THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE. You have Georgia, maybe Alabama (even though they've had games were they looked like trash on defense). That's about it. SEC is not any better than the Big XII defensively overall anymore. Neither are Big 10 level.

Yantha
OT Orlando Brown. Double win. On one hand you help the O-line, while on the other you remove the blind side in KC. Let Singletary and Edmunds walk to sign this guy, draft a linebacker in round 2 to replace Edmunds while giving James Cook and Nyheim Hines a shot. You could also get a fairly cheap RB in FA to round out the backfield or even draft a 5th or 6th rounder (value there). We would have the money.... Just want to also say that when Edmunds has a crap season not long ago.... the defense was still pretty good. dollars 2 donuts
Boy, I am sorry I don't have anyone in mind...but just a good, reasonably aged Olinemen that is plug and play. A real, live plug and play and not a, "YES, he's awesome, we sure...oh wait...wow...eww...ok...well," player. philholbroo
Montez Sweat via trade. If not then Dalton Risner via FA.

I like the way that you’re thinking, especially with Montez sweat We do not know when Von Miller is actually going to be back and we don’t know if he’s going to be 100% when he comes back it may take him some time We need legitimate pass rush on this team to go opposite groot, neither Epenesa, nor Basham I have shown that ability I’m getting visions of Montez sweat on one side and Von Miller on the other with a little bit of Groot mixed in at the three tech going after some of these quarterbacks that carved us up this past year It would free up draft picks to spend on the office of side of the ball

Just need to get him the right plays. I saw Mayer play live when I went to the Fiesta Bowl in 2022 to watch ND play my Cowboys. I was so frustrated (but extremely impressed) with him. I thought he was first round potential back then. Was surprised when he came back.

Yea I know QB play and all that, but that’s a lot to give up for a guy who hasn’t had 1000 yards yet and banking a ton on potential

They dont tell the story. Our 1st wouldnt be my first offer. Just sayin, if that's what it took, I don't think there will be a rookie WR available at 27 who is just as good. My goal is to get one WR and two IOL from the first 3 rounds. If there isnt an IOL worth taking at 27, and none of the rookie WRs available look like a sure thing, we could do worse than get Jeudy.
