GreggTX Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Who will do it first? Will it be the Bill's hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, the Sabres hoisting the Stanley Cup or neither? 1 Quote
Xwnyer Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 my hope is First Bills SB than Sabres hoisting cup. Just worry will never see either happening 😞 2 Quote
Not at the table Karlos Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Good question. That’s tough. The Bills are in their window but once the Sabres defense and goaltending develops/improves they’re going to be a force for years. They’re building something special. If I had to guess I would say Bills but I think both will have championships in the near future. 5 1 Quote
K D Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I chose the last option, but I do think one of them will statistically win one eventually, I just might not be alive to see it happen 😔 1 1 Quote

chongli Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Remember the Bills were world champions in 1964 and 1965. The SB would start the next year in 1966. 2 1 Quote
78thealltimegreat Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 The Sabres haven’t made the playoffs in 11 years and have less points then a rebuilding red wings team. If you don’t pick the Bills I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe follow log rolling 🤷♂️ 1 1 1 Quote

Well , Im 70.. saw the Hockey Bisons win the AHL Championship in 62-63 , 69-70, and the Bills in 64 -66 two AFL Championships , and obviously both franchises made it close over the years.. i will believe it when i see it happen for one of them.. "13" seconds ,in my opinion was the closest so far.. more so than wide right.. And will add another variable , even though, not in the context of the post.. The Buffalo Braves in the mid 70's/McAdoo years came real close.. if not for an official's BS call in a playoff game in Buffalo , very good chance , they would have won it all in the NBA that year Edited February 18, 2023 by dwight in philly 1 Quote
Success Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 To the 30% saying neither team will ever win: Josh Allen will not retire without a ring. It is mathematically impossible. 1 2 1 Quote
Talley56 Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 No option for the Bulls winning the national championship? 1 Quote

BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Imagine the parades when we win both the SB and Stanley Cup next season? It's going to be magical! 2 Quote
US Egg Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Ace will be selling hardware for awhile longer before Bills or Sabres are hoisting any. Quote
Big Turk Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 (edited) Honestly I think maybe the Sabres. They legit have at least 3 elite players right now in Thompson, Dahlin and Power and several other very good ones along with one of the deepest pipelines of talent in the NHL coming up if not THE deepest. I mean they are going to have a bunch of NHL ready players that might be stars that may have nowhere to play and be stuck in Rochester. They could be contending for cups within 2 years. par73 Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Neither. I've pretty much given up hope that it will happen in my lifetime. 2 Quote

Have you read this forum since the loss to Cincy? Half of the people are negative about the Bills under McD and/or the Bills perpetually having bad luck. I didn't vote, but I am deciding between the options of nether, or the Bills win first. Having lived through Wide Right, the Music City Miracle, 13 seconds, 4th and 18, the last-second loss to the Chargers in the 1980 divisionals, 3 SB blowouts, etc., you can understand my pessimism.
