"Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post writes that Bills S Jordan Poyer is a candidate to be franchise-tagged by the team this offseason. The tag would be $14.46 million and give Buffalo until mid-July to work on an extension for the veteran Poyer, who turns 32 in April."

Does this make any sense?

Edmunds will be their priority #1. The rumor from the brother's sister's step mother's brother was that they had already agreed to terms with Edmunds and waiting for something to happen for it to go through. So if the franchise tag is available I wouldn't put opposed to them keeping Poyer 1 more year at an inflated rate if they can't come to some kind of short term contract (3 years max, preferably 2)

Didn't his wife already say they're moving and basically write a goodbye to Buffalo? Gonna look pretty dumb if he's staying.

She gonna look pretty smart if he's leaving? Don't know her but my guess is it's a wash either way.

It's La Canfora. He throws stuff at the wall every off-season. There's no point of even entertaining what he "reports".
