It does bring up a hypothetically interesting question that we would never know the answer to. What would have happened if Daboll never left and he stayed for this year.

What we learned from Daboll leaving is that we had to take step back with our superstar QB, while the new OC and QB gelled.  This will be repeated when Dorsey leaves. It is why some teams with a truly elite QB have a head coach who takes ownership of the offense.

They took a significant step back personnel wise on offense...........2021 Sanders and Beasley were a declining but still productive duo of reliable veteran receivers that wasn't replaced and the maligned Daryl Williams was a league average starter at RG in 2021 who was replaced by a terrible Rodger Saffold and the move also caused Bates to flip to the right side and he didn't perform as well.

And yet,  Dorsey put up as much overall production as Daboll had and was more consistent until the clunker in the playoffs versus Cinci.

People forget that Daboll's inconsistency as a game planner and play caller contributed greatly to the team losing 6 regular season games in 2021.

lol did he even play for us when dorsey was here? 🙄

Lee Smith and Ken Dorsey both were on the Buffalo Bills during the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Dorsey needs to be better, but at some point we all need to acknowledge that the OL and WR’s were much worse in ‘22 than ‘21.

Thats a lot of downgrade for a first time play caller to deal with.

We went from Diggs, Davis, Beasley, Sanders and McKenzie to Diggs, Davis, McKenzie and Shakir.

Then we went from a middle of the pack OL to a bottom third OL.

Just an all around failure around Josh this past year.   Players regressing, not stepping up, not being trusted and not enough help to even begin with.

Sanders was nothing special in Buffalo.

Man, Lee Smith really struck a nerve with some people on here and I find that hilarious.

That being said, he has a Podcast on YouTube. Called the hut hut podcast.

So far he has had three Bills on: Fitz, Bease, and Feliciano. Some nice insight on the Bills from, you know, actual players.

This is one of the best interviews I've ever listened to.

I friggin love Lee Smith!!!

Dude's hilarious!!!

Anyone up in arms about the specific comment needs to go listen to the whole interview to get a feel for the guy.

I belly laughed several times while listening to this Interview.

You should stay on your couch because you would’ve gotten ran over

Lee Ward needs to understand that fans are AKA customers.   We say what we want.   Know your role and shut your mouth.

You’re allowed to be a stupid as you want as a customer

I actually think he played quite well, but he just hit a wall older players do that to me it’s the exact situation that we want now hopefully without the wall moving Gabe Davis to the third position

I just think that it’s a little much to get on a first year play collar and be upset that he wasn’t good enough to get the team to the Super Bowl. He’s going to get better. Just give him better groceries.
