There’s always backing tracks now, typically higher in the mix than the live mic. These pop singers can take breaths and sing off key and it still works.

I only know 2 of her songs but it was a spectacle worth watching. How did they create those floating stages that didn't move when danced upon? Pretty amazing.

As a person who generally despises top 40 music, I like Rihanna. At least she has a good voice and sounds like she actually sings on her songs unlike other so-called pop stars.
