Lofton80 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 That article was beautifully written. Get well Kim! 3 Quote

I cannot believe people are still blaming coaches for one loss after everything the team went through this year. It is a miracle we won 13 games and a playoff game to be honest. Wishing her a continued recovery. Save your sanctimony about "people still blaming...". Any person, Bills fan or not, would be touched reading this account by Jessica Pegula. The coaching failures are manifestly an "on field" issue, and were evident months before Kim's emergency., "13 seconds" being the most infamous. 3 1 2 9 Quote
BringBackFergy Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Jessica Pegula has to be one of the strongest young ladies ever. To go through that with her Mom/family and still successfully play tennis over the last 10 months. Get well Kim! Can't wait to see you cheering on your daughter, your Sabres and Bills. 5 1 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Amazing progress after full arrest. Hope she continues with this fantastic process. 3 Quote
ndirish1978 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Significantly worse than what I thought was going on. Heartbreaking to read about the situation. 2 1 Quote
Brand J Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I was working the US Open a few years back and a woman I swear looked like Kim Pegula walked up asking for directions. But what would Kim be doing at the US Open? This was before I knew of Jessica’s tennis career, had only heard an occasional mention of it so I hadn’t put two and two together until I saw “Jessica Pegula” in one of the draws. Turns out it was Kim and I regret not giving her a “Go Bills!” Get well, Mrs Pegula! 2 Quote

Watching Dick Clark do his Rockin' New Years Eve specials post-stroke was both uplifting and sad... he refused to let his condition stop him from what he loved to do. We made jokes about his ability to look like he never aged until he had a stroke... so some people can do what they love and some can't... but I NEVER, EVER count anyone out in the end. I'm rooting for her as we all are 1000%!!! Edited February 7, 2023 by EasternOHBillsFan 1 Quote
eball Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Anyone else envision Jesse taking a much more prominent role in the running of these two franchises at some point down the road? What an amazing, strong woman. And of course, continued best wishes to Kim on her recovery. 13 Quote

Not sure how long she wants to play tennis, but down the road, I think keeping it in the family would be ideal. 2 Quote

LABILLBACKER Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I'm just grateful for heros like Kelly & Jessica. After what happened to Damar we're all just blessed Kim and Damar are improving. I guess in the journey that is life, that's all that mattered in 2022. 1 Quote

jayg Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Keep fighting Kim! I lost my father last year after a short battle with cancer. Hope their story ends better! Quote

Augie Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I hope the people who felt they were “owed” an explanation now realize how stupid they looked. This is intensely personal, and none of our damn business unless and until they decide they want to let us in. 4 7 4 Quote

Steptide Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I know this happened a while ago but man, could this team have dealt with anything else this season? I mean ya, at the end of the day, everyone's got a job to do, but man this team still went 13-3 and made it to the divisional round with all this other stuff. Gotta give the team credit for keeping it all together 2 Quote

If & when it gets to the point that she inherits the team, if I was in her shoes, I'd sell the team in a NY minute. The Bills have a $3.4 billion value right now, and that's likely to go up too. Gotta think that running/managing the Bills AND the Sabres is a LOT of work, and probably stressful too. And as somebody else mentioned earlier, there will be a large inheritance tax to be paid too. I'd sell, take the money and disappear, and live the life most people could only dream about. 😉 1 1 Quote
