There's your Barkley money. Trade Oliver, frees up almost 11M. Cut Hines. Trade Tre White. Re-work contracts of a few guys outside Allen (Allen needs to be done regardless to free up money just to get under the cap). We can make big Offensive moves if we want... It just comes down to the FO's willingness to empty the cupboard Defensively. Which is unlikely, IMO.

You believe in Parcells but when he says Allen is playing "solitare" that "personnel" he suggests isn't the runners? Why? The entire Parcells tree is predicated on the power running game. Remember Sometimes I don’t know why I even reply to your ignorant Barclay is going to cost of mint Robinson will be a draft pick on a controlled contract It’s all about the money, sir

The Bills are not drafting a RB in the 1st round and they're not signing Barkley. So, any debate on whether one guy is better than the other is pretty much a moot point as far as the Bills 2023 roster is concerned.
BigDingus
Unless there's a plan in place to SIGNIFICANTLY bolster this O-line, I don't care who they sign... we'll never see their full potential. Also, we've seen enough of this team to know they heavily favor passing & have difficultly commuting to the run, even when successful, so whoever they have back there is only going to have moderate success given their opportunities. JimBob2232
I love Barkley - and I'd be over the moon excited if he comes here. But I can't believe it's even remotely the best use of our limited cap space.

Agreed, I’d rather move/let-walk some defense pieces and use the money on OL and WR.

Just because we're not drafting a 1st round RB and not signing Barkley doesn't mean the Bills won't sign a cheaper free agent or draft a bigger back in the middle rounds of the draft. Drafting a 1st round RB or signing Barkley is a pipe dream that simply will not happen. The Bills need O-line & D back help & one of those positions is where they will draft. IMO the offense is the priority. We have a generational QB. Lets not let him get clobbered and wasted like Archie Manning. RB1, WR2, LG - priorities on offense. OL depth after those needs met S, Edge, DT, LB IMO nothing would help Josh better than a stud RB(can score from anywhere on field, bell cow, can pass protect, and can run a wheel route). Imagine if Josh could just hand the ball off and no defense can stop the run. That makes Josh and the offense so much better. Sign Saquon and Powers- it can be done. Starting RB and starting G- and two huge position upgrades. Get that done, sign some bargain FA for depth. Now going into the draft our needs our WR2, S, DL, and LB- which is much more manageable

He will never make it to free agency & even if he did, which won't happen, the Bills can't afford him.
