Look at Daniel Jones this year and compare him to 2015 Tyrod Taylor (his first year starting with the Bills). They have almost identical stats (Taylor has 2 less games played so slightly less volume stats). Taylor even had a higher passing rating and QBR!

In fact if you look at the 3 years Taylor played for the Bills, each season sort of looks like a Daniel Jones season.

Did Tyrod Taylor secure a huge extension when he was done here? No! Because that would have been dumb!

Good... I want Burrow to ask for 60M when his time comes.  Bengals owner can have fun trying to get liquid enough for what's coming down the pike.

Burrow, Chase, and Higgens if they keep him alone will probably be a minimum of 100 million against the Bengals cap for checks notes 3 players 🙄

Jones should be asking for a crazy amount.
If he lands even 25 per and a high guarantee that’s a huge win for him and  the odds are high he won’t last another 2-3 seasons as a starter

Burrow, Herbert, Hurts, Lawrence. All of them will cash in bigtime. No way is Jones worth 45M. I could see 25M or 30M tops but not 45M per.

I agree not $45 but I see Jones basement cost equal with Kirk Cousins ($35M per).

Even 35M is high IMHO but we will see how this plays out.

Cousins is a far greater value at that price.

Of course, but that's what QB cost.  I mean just look at Kyler Murray getting $46.1M per.

The good thing is the Bills are set with Josh until 2026 at the earliest.

The Allen contract is going to look better as the years go by. Wait until Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Hurts get their big pay day.

You won't have to wait long for 3 of those 4 (not Lawrence, needs another year).  They'll get new deals this off-season.

It’s still a ton of money. But yes, that’s what happens with these contracts. But it also going to lead to a Tyreek Hill type trade/ cut in the future.

and once again, Daniel Jones had 15 tds passes in 16 games in his breakout system. If Jones gets paid big money, every other position player should hold out because it would be a total joke.

their best move is to tag him and see if he can up his td passes to more than one a game next year and then pay him $50 million!

I think Jones gets $40 mil plus, and I wouldn't be shocked at $45 million, to many QB desperate teams.  We will have to wait and see.

Maybe the Giants pay it, but they still have to sign Barkley. Didn't former GM Dave Gettleman leave them in salary cap hell that Schoen has been trying to get out of. I think the Giants will put the tag on him if a deal can't be worked out, so I don't see Jones going anywhere else.

IF they tag him then yes, he aint goin anywhere.  Tagging him is just kicking the can down the street, buys them one economically viable year.

Yeah but it allows them to see if he progresses and is worth the money he's asking for,

It will make my day if shoen teaches him a lesson and signs Carr.

I think the Giants brass and ownership are smart enough to avoid tying themselves to Jones long term.
