Two years ago they passed on Creed Humphrey.  Last year Tyler Linderbaum.  I am not sure if it is Beane or McD behind the aversion to fixing the IOL, but they need to stop with the dumpster diving. It is not working!

You have below average OG’s, and an OC whose concussion history is frightening. Then factor in a tub of goo at LT, and a project at RT.

If I am Allen, I am pissed.  The only gift he should be giving them at Christmas is “OL Play for Dummies”.

It's not so much an aversion for OL.  It's McDermott's need for constant defensive affirmation.  A defensive HC will always put defense ahead of anything else.  If Sean doesn't pull his head out of his ass and tell Beane to go hard OL/WR this offseason then they'll lose the locker room.  Josh and Diggs have every right to be pissed.

Stick with how bad the OL was - how Beane got duped by Saffold and how he paid/promoted Bates perhaps prematurely. This doesn’t need to always wind up a backhanded compliment (excuse?) for Allen.

My feeling is the Bills made a one year play for Roger. He certainly looked like he has slipped from where he was a few years ago

D. Dawkins: 73.5

R. Saffold: 43.7

M. Morse: 61.4

R. Bates: 61.8

S. Brown: 51.4

For reference a solid NFL starter has a 70 grade…a pro bowl player has an 80ish grade…an all pro has a high 80s to low 90s grade..Trent Williams has the highest at 93.7

Josh Allen had over 5000 yards of offense and 42 touchdowns and had a PFF grade of 91.6 the highest of any QB with this line which graded out 26th blocking for him.

Put Josh behind the Eagles O-Line and they'd destroy the NFL. Our OL is a huge liability...

Ike Boettger had a 59.8 PFF grade. Moving Bates back to the left side while Ike takes RG guard would be an improvement. At least a backup plan to have before the draft as Bean likes to have all the holes somewhat plugged before the draft so he doesn’t have to reach

Allen took a beating this season.  There was a scramble vs Bengals where he dashed out of bounds to avoid contact and he could have had an extra 3-5 yards a sign that the hits are catching up to him.  Forget the defense they need to protect him first he is the franchise and great things usually happen when he has time to throw the ball.

The thing is if we put all the resources into the offense instead of the Defense like we have,we would have a solid line and a big FA wr opposite Diggs! Allen would have no down year,he most likely has an mvp and pretty good chance a superbowl ring by now....That's what frustrates me the most

With no time he had nearly 4300 yards passing what do you want him to do shoot for 5000?

Didn't mahomes just have 5000 yards?...Yea Allen could definitely pass for 5k also with a good line and a wr2 and gabe back to 3wr where he shines

This is assuming Beane were to hit on the picks. As we’ve seen thus far, his evaluation of the trenches (and WRs) leaves a lot to be desired.

The really crappy part is that despite this, the defense poops it’s pants every post season.

It will be shocking if Saffold is playing anywhere in the league next season.  I doubt Buffalo will be able to switch out all their substandard starters before next season, but they need to have two or three new starters who are better than they guys they replace.

Well, they can easily upgrade Saffold by adding any dead body in his place…

Then I would like to see them spend a high pick on a tackle to challenge Brown…

Those moves should greatly enhance our line…

Saffold had a good year. 🙄

Allen with the protection Burrow had with an o-line of backups would be amazing to watch.

That requires the opposing coaches having zero pass rush scheme. It's an indictment on the Bills coaching not that the Bengals played well. Chiefs dominated the Bengals line tonight with scheme. Exactly what toy want to do with a line that has never played together and poor communication.

It’s crazy to pay Allen all that money and not protect him better. Chiefs went all in on their o-line after the Bucs SB debacle and now they are back.

We need to sign a real starting quality veteran and draft an o-lineman with one of the first two picks. Dawkins can be very good and Bates/Morse are okay (not great), but the other two spots have been a turnstile.

Tell that to our defensive HC.  He just can't help himself.
