Far too much for a player of his age and salary. Not to mention questionable leadership skills.

Let it be true? What are you nuts. This guy won the last 2 MVPs and you want him in our division with a great defense and amazing young WR's??

The cost to the Packers from a cap standpoint would be huge

Quote

Rodgers does not have a no trade clause in his contract so he could be traded to a team as well.  The timing of the option should give the Packers all the way until the end of training camp to move him. The cap charge here would depend on when he was traded. If Rodgers were to be traded prior to June 1st the Packers would take on a $40,313,750 cap hit in 2023. If he was traded after June 1st it would be a $15,833,570 cap hit in 2023 with $24,480,000 due in 2024. This assumes that the Packers did not exercise the option before the trade. If the option is exercised then the trade number spikes to nearly $100 million. There should be no need to exercise the option until the last possible day.

Sorry but the Bills are in a worse position to make a SB run next year and I like the idea of our divisional foe trading away future draft capital on a guy who's at the tail end of his career.   Also it doesn't matter who our opposing QB is, we've made Mike White and Skyler Thompson look like all pros this season

They said Tom Brady was at the tail end of his career at that age. 7 years later he's still playing at a top 10 QB level

The correct thing to root for, with respect to the Jets quarterback situation is this:

3-way battle at training camp. Zach Wilson vs Mike White vs Mason Rudolph for all the marbles.

THAT's what I'm rooting for.

The Jets have a good defense and some pieces on offense. Hope this doesn't happen as they will be a big problem for the rest of the division.

This is an era of young QBs look who's left in playoff contention.

Yea because Rodgers has nobody to throw to. Give him Wilson and Davis and Mims and Moore and watch out. Not to mention that defense that has a lot of young talent. That's a good team minus a QB. Even with someone like Derek Carr they would probably be a playoff team that could beat a lot of people

I'm not disagreeing with you.  I'm saying the Bills, based on how this season ended will need a year or two to really reset and get pieces in place.  The Jets absolutely nailed their draft last year with Wilson Gardner and Hall.   Based on how they have been drafting compared to us, our best hope is to maybe take a beating from them next year while they bet the franchine on a declining vet QB by giving away premium picks.

Breece Hall will also be back. The way he was going he was the favorite to win offensive rookie of the year.

I agree.

It might work out for Bills in 2-4 years (no young talent) but 1-2 years would be awful.
Jets are a VERY good team with trash at QB.
