Even though we had a 1st year OC, played a much harder schedule and the defense not being able to get off the field once Von went down. The defense gave up 28 more 1st downs & 481 more yards this year in 1 less game vs 2021. We just did it a different way with quick scoring & big plays vs long sustained drives. The only thing the offense was lower in this year vs 2021 was 1st downs per game. Averaging a half a 1st down less. We even averaged 10 more yards rushing per game this year and 6 more yards passing. The guy is not up to NFL offensive coordinating on a contending team...not even close. Of course, we give him the job, and then double down after a terrible year and invite him back again. He'll be gone after the 2023 season. Watch. He had a terrible year ? Bean needs to provide protection and weapons and Josh needs to execute at an elite level in the playoffs, think more 2021 and less 2022 playoff Josh. This is Allen’s offense and Dorsey is there to help implement the game plan. If McDermott can stay outta the way in January and February and Bean provides the necessary assets then Allen will win a championship. Gugny
Diggs is perfectly fine in the regular season. For the past two years, however, our playmaker ain't makin' plays in elimination games. Games Targets Receptions Yards Touchdowns 2021 2 10 6 67 0 2022 2 19 11 149 0 Four games - 17 catches (59%), 216 yards and zero TDs. I'm not blaming Diggs, per se. But the facts are the facts. You don't see Travis Kelce disappearing in January.

Three catches (six targets) for seven yards vs. KC in 2021. That is a problem. You don't target your best weapon on offense six times . And if you do, you should expect him to get more than seven yards out of it. Again ... I'm not calling Diggs out. But between Diggs, Allen and Dorsey, they need to figure out how to get Diggs the ball in the postseason. And the offense put up 34 on Miami in the playoffs last year before quitting vs. the Bengals. Respectfully disagree. As long as the ball gets into the endzone, and we get the "W" I don't care if Diggs is a double-teamed decoy for the whole game with only 6 targets. Also, if you are only averaging 2.3 YPC, I think you look elsewhere. Right?

Yea they gave the ball away a ton v Miami too though. As an entire team we were not at our best in the playoffs this past year.

ChrisWatson#21
It would be career suicide for him to go play somewhere else. He wasn't an all pro until he paired up with JA.

We beat a very good Dolphins team in the playoffs as well. Plus the team routinely puts up 30+ scoring games. I just can't go full out and say "we're not winning". This team is poised to have a great shot at a superbowl next season. My original point is that yes Diggs is an elite player but when you are yourself completely ineffective in a playoff game, it's pretty pathetic to hear him whining about anything.... sorry but can't stand diva attitudes when you put up a total FLUB in a playoff game. Allen alone can make offensive team stats look good. That's the case here. Allen gets 90% of the credit and Dorsey held him back from achieving more. Any football person and casual fan could see that Dorsey was learning on the job. Now, we can only hope that the game has slowed and his mind is sharper and more progressive this year. He needs to make a big jump.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS
Allen alone can make offensive team stats look good, that's true, but that would also be the case in 2021 with Daboll. Everyone seems to forget just how bad the offense was for stretches after game 7 in 2021. Case in point, Allen through game 7 had 17 tds and only 3 ints. After that he had 19 tds and 12 ints over the last 10 games of the year. Where was Daboll's magic in getting Allen back on track? That was against a bunch of bad teams no less and with a healthy Allen. He was the same QB in 2022 as he was in 2021, that's not on Dorsey. 36 tds in 2021, 35 last year. 15 ints in 2021, 14 last year. 63.3 comp. % in both years, a better ypa last year by almost a yard. A better QB Rating and QBR, increasing 4.5 & 5 points respectively. It was more of a boom or bust, big play offense, I get it, you don't like it. But it produced the same results or better by both the QB and offense across the board. Again with an injured QB and against a far harder schedule than 2021. We are entering year six of the Josh Allen era. Look at the past couple decades of young Super Bowl champion QBs. You will see that they won those rings by year four. It’s an organizational and coaching failure. Im not in the “the window is closed” camp. But it’s getting close. We’re not winning in the post season. We’re not winning in the post season. Well, odds are young winning Super Bowl QB's will win it in their first four years. Super Bowl champion QB's last 20 seasons: QB's to win it first four years of career: Brady (year 2), Roethlisberger (year 2), Wilson (year 3), Mahomes (year 3) QB's to win it year five or after: E. Manning (year 5), Flacco (year 5), Rodgers (year 6), Foles (year 6), Brees (year 9), P. Manning (year 9), M. Stafford (year 13) Plenty of time to get it right assuming Allen stays healthy. Allen has only been a top five quarterback for three seasons now.

Still time, of course, but that lost opportunity is going to haunt for a generation if they don't come through. 1 1

Well I mean, I guess we should just trade Allen then and go draft a new QB. Because trends never ever get broken. Just start it all over, go get the 6th best QB and finish 4-13 or something. Makes sense.
