Bengals will be the team to beat for years to come

counter, burrow and chase will quickly eat that cap and their margin for error will shrink drastically.

they are what the bills should’ve been 2-3 years ago when fans were just happy to be in the playoffs.

we will be contenders for a decade but it’ll be tough to overcome the teams with a qb and wr or DE on rookie deals. It just amounts to like 4-5 extra good vet starters

Yeah Cinci fans will want to deny it to opposing fans of other teams..........but most know........the Bengals ownership will go the equivalent of "cash to cap" with the payroll when those star salaries start reaching $30M-$50M aav and that will limit them a bit.

We know that because the Wilson family and Brown family were two peas in a pod........and Ralph would have done the same thing if he were alive and still had his faculties.

When they franchised Jessie Bates that also indicated it was still business as usual.    It's easy to eat up cap space taking big 1 year cap hits.

The new owners in the NFL can run cash laps around a lot of the legacy teams whose wealth is almost entirely dependent on their football team........it's just a reality.

That's not to say they will decline but their "actual" available resources will come back to the pack.........just like the Bills have, despite more accommodating ownership, because of a number of bad UFA decisions in years past.

And then you have to continue to draft and develop and hire good people.    KC we know for certain will do that.   Cinci might but their sample size is small.

Buffalo?  Beane has his work cut out for him but nobody else to blame if he can't start squeezing more value from his cap room and draft picks.

Burrow and Chase won't have an immediate cap impact like many believe.

You guys can over pay for a 30 year old Tyler Boyd.  I'm guessing we draft another deep threat opposite Tee with Chase playing the slot much more.

You guys draft WRs?  What an interesting Idea!  Someone should tell Beane about this shocking concept

Really?  This is the answer?  That fumble happened with 12 minutes left on the clock.  We played a very vanilla offense the entire game.  I expect better football knowledge out of this fanbase.

That fumble happened with 3 minutes left in the game and the Ravens were not going to allow them to come down and tie - the way they were playing D.

Actually... the Bengals have always paid QBs and WRs.

Bates did not have a good season last year and wanted top 3 money, we knew Burrow and Tee would be due after this season. Drafting Dax Hill and tagging Bates was the right move, FS is not a priority position for us.

It's always in vogue to be the ascending team. That's why we yearn for 2020.

Cinci's ownership makes them uniquely ill-suited to handle the second contracts of a lot of these players.

There are going to be new threats, new risers, but through all of that the teams with Burrow, Allen and Mahomes will always be among the most likely to win it all.

Each year will be which of the three had the best protection and weapons.  As well as which of the teams they are on has fewer holes that season based on play and injuries.

As is the case with most NFL matchups that are one sided, Cincinnati isn’t as great as they looked on Sunday and Buffalo isn’t as awful. I expect KC with a hobbled Mahomes to play them much closer but the Bengals are a tough out for sure. And they make so few mistakes, it’s annoying lol.

4 teams are left and I have to say I’d be shocked if Bengals lose to a gimpy Mahomes.

No matter I’m worried that the Bengals OL will get dominated by either the Eagles or 49ers. This is shaping up to be a repeat of last Super Bowl, only this time the NFC team will be stronger and faster on both sides of the ball.

Sadly the Bengals will be heavy underdogs. Burrow ends up 0-2 in Super Bowl and his swagger starts to resemble Jim Kelly’s arrogance. Will America tolerate a 3rd Burrow trip to the Bowl in 2024?

Lol if Huntley holds on to the ball they don’t even win a playoff game this year.

so i guess we need to ask ourselves why a mediocre team like baltimore can almost beat them while we get rolled by them. And it wasn't just a bad day. The MNF game started out exactly the same.

We have matchup problems with them, players and/or scheme, and they aren't going anywhere. so we need to change in a big way.

Ravens are a conference opponent that the Bengals played 3 times. The Bengals did not open the playbook in week 18 or the next week in the wildcard game vs the Ravens.

That said, I have no idea how our oline was so successful and the Bills oline struggled, the trenches seemed to be the difference in the game.

If Waddle catches a ball or 2, the Bills get bounced by a Skylar Thompson led Dolphins team.

hare to say it but I’m thinking Miami takes over the reigns next season with the right FA moves at QB

That’s insulting to all 31 other NFL teams. Just because we pissed down our legs in front of our long suffering fans, on our own home dirt, in front of a teammate who was barely 3 weeks stolen from his ride to the pearly gates, doesn’t mean any other NFL team would have actually had the gaul to give themselves permission to have done that. Hell, even Jacksonville gave the Chiefs a scare and they were outclassed from jump street.

I mean, they'll be good as long as Burrow is there, with some up and down years. Things change from year to year, though. They look really good this year, but just a few puzzle pieces changing each year could make things worse for them, just like it is for the Bills. The Chiefs aren't as good as they were a couple of years ago, but they have a chance each year too.

Having a top 5 QB gives you a shot each year.

The Bengals will have to battle it out just to win the North. All 4 teams hate one another. If LJ resigns with the Ravens, then they can certainly beat the Bengals. They match up well with them. They almost beat them in CIN with a backup QB. Say what you want about Watson being a POS but if he regains his old form then he is a very good QB. Combine that with the Browns running game and their defense then they are another team that will give the Bengals a hard time. Battle of Ohio is usually a hard-fought game. While the Steelers are trying to build their team with Pickett, they still have a good defense. They can also give the Bengals a hard time. The games between these teams are not only physical but sometimes dirty. The rivalries in this division are more intense than the ones in the AFCE.
