papazoid Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 at least another full season for HC the OC & DC will likely both change out ....either promoted or fired 2 Quote

SCBills Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I've reached the end of my patience with McDermott, but I don't think there's any chance he's not here next year.. and I just have to hope he's capable of self-reflection and growth as a coach. I'd be shocked if he's allowed to run it back with Dorsey and Frazier. One, or both, have to go. IMO, definitely Frazier.. and I go either way on Dorsey just because it was his first year. Then next year he's coaching on a warm seat. 3 1 Quote

Kept Jax close, but since zero funds or care about offense, scored 7 points. Crucial errors after a big lead vs. Houston. Indy closer then it should have been and very close to losing it. Baltimore did a great job vs. Lamar, but again tighter then need be. KC was the better, more experienced team (got to be honest). NE - Josh's perfect game 13 seconds an abomination Miami almost blew it. Cincy - Unprepared. 1 1 Quote
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Don’t think they make the playoffs next year unless their young draft picks pull some miracle off season and they hit on 3 or 4 picks this year. 2 1 2 Quote

I would put us right there with them as chokers (especially if you add in the 4 SBs and the music city BS...obviously not McD's time...but still). I fear that the owners really love him and he will have to have back to back non-playoff seasons before he would get fired. 1 Quote

He’s just lucky that Josh is such a great player and could routinely make off a schedule plays. But nothing on offense looked easy this year. It was a constant struggle outside the first two weeks 5 2 Quote
buffalobillswin Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Sadly great QBs can keep bad/mediocre coaches from getting fired. Aaron Rodgers kept McCarthey the coach of GB longer than he should have been. We may be in store for a similar situation. 2 2 Quote

For all the talk of process and culture, would McDermott still be our coach if not for Josh Allen? No chance. 2 1 11 Quote

They were outplayed that game, too. 1 Quote
Bruffalo Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 More than he rightly should, but he probably deserves another chance or two. The coordinators though? Ehh, I think they should get the boot now rather than later. Do I think it'll happen? No. Quote

No chance. Remember he took a 7-9 team (they threw the last game the prior year) to 9-7 and the playoffs his first year. Oh & he started Nathan Peterman vs. SD (and had him the starter the following year too). An offensive genious (savant). 1 Quote

LabattBlue Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 McD is going nowhere this year, next year, the year after that, or any time in the near future. Don’t you know a man of faith and leadership is all you need to win a SB. 4 1 Quote
Awwufelloff Posted January 23, 2023 Author Posted January 23, 2023 Look at what san fran is able to do with Purdy. Imagine that team with Allen. Coaching and schemes is just as important as the QB running them. 1 Quote

At best it'd be more of "the last 20 years." Our standard needs to change to the SB era years. Let's raise the bar! 14 minutes ago, LabattBlue said: McD is going nowhere this year, next year, the year after that, or any time in the near future.
